Are you inserting the code into the code editor of your post, instead of the visual editor?
You can switch between the two in the right side bar of your WP posts.

Thank you both for your answers!! It actually had something to do with my Google Chrome, as when I do it on firefox it all works out! So I just switch over to Firefox instead.
