I wrote a post earlier titled Count Your Blessings. This is another update to that particular post. Everyone here at WA was excited for my opportunity of possibly traveling and grilling for major grocery store for their Employee Appreciation Day. I will agree that the opporturnity is promising but it is not where my heart is.
I have travelled for thirty years and I began to hate life on the road. Those of you who had to travel for work understand what I am talking about.
Last week I was once again at this particular grocery store and they asked me to grill for them again this week. They are furnishing all of the items to grill and paying me $15 per pound to do this for them. They also spoke with their sister stores and they also want me to grill for them as well. They wanted to get the same deal as the original store and I agreed.
Corporate management is having a sample of my grilling done and will be calling me to discuss terms. I am not sure what they hope to accomplish with the discussion since I am unwilling to travel. I will be satisfied with my blog and giving advice to them as well as the quarterly briskets for the three stores in my region.

I understand the road and the "road" thing. I too did 30 some years in the car and in the air.
It's a great opportunity and I was wondering why you were taking so long to jump on it.......but if your heart isn't in it, that's good enough.

Being pursued by corporate is a problem many people would love to have...but I wonder if it’s one of those distractions/shiny objects talked about in the WA training videos?
Follow your heart Jerry. I don’t go anywhere if I have to get there by way of an airport.

End of discussion. I know they want you but, you need to enjoy your family Jerry. Priorities come first my brother.
As for your recipes, I have yet to do it. We eat out a lot, not good, and I will asked my wife to do it. Sorry, we here live a different lifestyle my brother!
