How do You Overcome Roadblocks?

We all hit roadblocks from time to time. The way we eliminate them is key to finding our path to success. Some are easy to overcome, while others are extremely difficult.

I would like to share a few of the roadblocks that I have encountered in the last two and one-half years.

The first roadblock I encountered was within myself. I knew I could do the work to become an affiliate and be successful. I had the mindset that it would come quickly. For some it does. I did not listen to those of the community that it would take time and constant posting. I felt that my idea was the greatest idea ever. Boy, was I wrong. I became discouraged and lost heart.

The next thing that happened was to become ill without knowing the cause. It was not for another six months before the cause was explained to us. I had a problem with my aortic valve in my heart that needed to be replaced.

The replacement went well and I was starting to feel more like myself when I had another disease attack me. This disease would cause more damage than my valve replacement surgery. I would lose the feelings in my hands and feet for one and one-half years. I had to relearn how to feed myself, how to walk, how to go to the bathroom. The list is long but I overcame them and started to work on my websites again.

The next roadblock I had was being unable to see. I had cataracts that were so bad that all I could see in my left eye was light and dark. I could not distinguish any shapes. It was not as bad in my right eye. Both of the surgeries were successful but it still took almost five months for me to regain my full vision.

The roadblock that I am facing now is on June 28th my wife has to have a bowel redaction surgery. She has a tumor that is 15cm long and 5 cm wide. The biopsies at this point show that there is no cancer. We will know more after the biopsies after the surgeries. I am sure that the surgery will go well and the biopsies will be cancer-free. That is my faith and hope.

Perseverance

One thing about roadblocks, they will cause one of two things to happen, will overcome or you will give up. My wife and I have (through our personal struggles) overcome most obstacles that have been put in our way.

We both acknowledge that, for us, God has been kind and merciful. He has been there for us even when we did not know it.

We have both kept positive attitudes that we could get through anything. We acknowledge that bad things happen to good people. There are good things that happen to bad people as well. The main thing is to not give up. Do not believe that you can never overcome whatever obstacle that is in your way. Find a way through, around, over or under it but come out on the other side with a renewed willingness to meet whatever life throws at you head on. Meet it and overcome it.

Thank you, Jerry! I'm still praying for a positive result for your dear wife! 🙏

You are a personification of the word, "perseverance." I salute your courage and perseverance in the face of daunting odds. You are a man of great faith.

Faith is what gets me through each day. I was promised that as long as I kept my faith that only goodness would be mine. I was never told it would be easy.
