What Exposes You?
Do you ever wonder why you aren't getting very many hits on your website? Do you make it easy for your audience to contact you? How is your website positioned on search engines? How often do you have return visitors?
One way to find out how many hits your websites receives is through Google Analytics, Google Search Console, and the visitors that leave messages on your website about your content.Analytics And How They Can Help Your Exposure
Google Analytics, GA4, and Google Search Console are among many tools that are available to you to help you learn more about your customer. With Analytics, GA4 and Google Search Console, you have the ability to dig into your website to find out where your audience is from, what time of the day they are on your site, what pages captures their attention, how long they are on your site, and when they leave your site.
This information is invaluable for you as a marketer!!!! You have the ability to improve your website by analyzing this data. Now, you are in charge and can tweak your site if needed. As Eric said in his class the other night, it must pass the EYE, TEST! If your site lolookss ok and you are getting good traffic it may be that you don't need to change anything at all. Keep adding content that is valuable to your audience, answer their questions, and leave them with the knowledge that you will have the answers to their questions.Emails And Your Exposure
Have you set up an email sign up form on your website? Is it performing the way it should? Are you getting the sign ups you expect? If you have been here for a while and don't have a sign up form, you are setting yourself up for failure. Signup forms allow you to give your audience information more quickly than they would otherwise receive it. It also gives them a heads up on your new content they may have been waiting on.
It is advisable when you set up your email form to test it to make sure it works the way it should. You may want to do some split-testing to be sure you have the form that works best for you and your brand. Remember, this form is also a part of your branding!Social Media And Your Exposure
There is a ton of social media out there that can potentially help grow your business! When looking for a social media platform used to grow your audience, determine whether or not you are comfortable using that platform. Some people are comfortable with Facebook, while you may not like the platform or use it. If you find that you aren't going to use a platform then you will not keep it updated the way you would another platform.
Use the platform that you are comfortable with! Don't use one just because someone else is. You must be the one to define your audience and where they are found. Determine what your preferences are and what type of audience you are looking for. This should help grow your audience and your business.
Each type of social media has an audience that is loyal to it and no other. You will have to test the waters in each to find the right combination for your website. Post on a regular basis to keep your audience engaged and wanting more from you.Final Thoughts
I have had issues with all of the information listed above. Not because I didn't understand it but because I was lazy. Now, I have to play catch up to others who started later than I did. This may cause some people to lose heart but think of this, just because I was lazy and didn't reach my potential right away doesn't mean you have to follow the same path.
I did not reach out early enough to get the help in the formative stages of m business life. Learning from watching others and going through the training have taught me that DON'T QUIT, DON'T STOP LEARNING, DON'T SURRENDER TO FEAR. When you don't stop and continue on, you will find your success in the most unexpected places.
