We Lost Our Little Nani

Aloha Guys!

We lost our sweet Nani yesterday. Some of you will remember Nani, the tiny wild cougar, one of the rescue kittens that came to us at the beginning of January.
She got hit by a truck. The driver didn't even stop to see if he could help. One of the following cars stopped and a compassionate lady brought our Nani on the side of the road. She was only 8 months old.

When bad things happen there is also something good nearby as well.

Yesterday I was overwhelmed by sadness and emotional pain. I really couldn't believe this happened. I still cannot.

But there was a comfort given to me unexpectedly. My husband had a customer coming over in the afternoon. She brought her friend, another lady with her. Jeff needed to tell them for we just buried Nani and you could see it in his face.

I also came over to join, even though I didn't want to.
I said to the lady - of whom I don't know the name - "I know we humans are eternal, but what about the animals? Do you know it?"

"Yes", she said. "They are coming back too. If they want. They are much older than us."

And she told me to think about Nani as a fairy who came to us in cat's body to teach and to help. She left, for her job is done.

The lady herself lost everything last year in the lava flow in Kapoho. This encountering was very healing.

What she said comforted me so so much! And I like to believe it even though I don't know it in my inner yet. I also don't know any reason why it shouldn't be this way. Why all those living beings including plants shouldn't be eternal. Of course, they are.

It is still heartbreaking. I'm still grieving badly but I also see the light and the energy fairy Nani left here for us.
She is still around.

I didn't want to make you sad, guys. What I wanted, is to share with you the story, so you can comfort yourself when needed.

Sending much Love and Light!

Aloha, Jenna

Jenna, I'm sorry to hear of your loss. It is so hard when we lose members of our family. I've always referred to our cats as my children. They are much more than pets. I do believe they will be waiting for us in the afterlife.

Thank you very much, Mickey! This helps me a lot!!
Sending love back to you!
Aloha, Jenna

Jenna, I'm so sorry for your loss. I believe we will get to see all our loved ones again, even our pets. I know this may not comfort you but when my dog was dying, I laid her on my chest on my bed and just held her, and when I did that, I heard my snowball ( my deceased cat) meowed and I knew that snowball was waiting for my dog Amy to be with her. They both grew up together. They're spirit lives on and Nani's will too... Hugs

Thank you so so much, Joyce!! I appreciate so much the experience you shared with me! Precious!

I really start to feel that Nani is good where she is and I need to stop crying for her.

MAHALO, Joyce
Sending love back to you!!

I am sorry. We have lost several "family" members over the years and it never gets easier. My wife has made me promise that when our currents ones finally pass we will not be getting any more. It's just too hard on us. You will be in our prayers.

Thank you, Aj! Thank you so much! This means a lot to me!
Sending love back!

Jenna,

So sorry for your loss, it is never a good time to experience loss of a loved one or an extended family member.

As humans, we lack in our ability to comfort and to say the right words to others who are in such difficult moments because we are not able to reverse tragedies,

I personally can only find guidance in the Bible, in this case, it would be in Genesis and specifically Genesis 1:26:

26 And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth.

In that brief passage it shows God's intent and purpose for mankind to domesticate certain animals and although specifically mentioned in it, cats would be part of that universe.

Then the question to ask would be: "Would God after having created the domesticated animals as companions to mankind not have a plan for them and the role they play in our lives?"

In Genesis God rested on the seventh day, a number associated with completion and I would think that God had it all perfectly planned out for all of His creation,

While this may not lessen the shock and the pain in your loss, I hope that it puts it into perspective as to the bigger plan God has crafted for us and our pets, ever since Genesis.

Blessings!

Thank you very much, Gabriel!!
It is comforting to me. And yes, there is a plan! And sweet Nani is good where she is.
Thank you for your support!! It means a lot to me!

You're welcome.

Sorry to hear Jenna but you also know that you gave from the deepest part of your soul to help Nani as well and the love was appreciated from both sides.

Along with the fact it brought you stronger with the connections of the light during that time from the moment the two of you met.

Know Nani was there to teach you many things and also to get you started with continuing the many new ventures you had at the time and still are continuing to flow with.

In Love and Light, I also send you Pono and Reiki

But you know that part already

Namaste my friend

I understand your pain. Animals give us unconditional love, thats forever etched in our hearts. Very painful indeed. Thanks for sharing with us. Let that light stay with you, yes it’s comforting.

Thank you so much, Brenda!! Yes, they love unconditionally. Nani challenged us a lot. She was so independent. Always ready to fight. She was a wild one.
Even though my heart is breaking right now I will look into the Light and understand the beautiful work she has done.

Thank you, dear friend!
Sending love back to you!
