Does an Overnight Success Exist?

I was just answering a question my friend Jonke posted and noticed: I'm still missing a good plan for myself and my work. I started to develop one and tried it several times but I still didn't finish it.
I was wondering what was the reason why I didn't?!

Last week I wrote down the most important points and tasks to move on with our place and my husband's business that is feeding us. I counted together 42 points I had on my mind.
My online business wasn't included.

In that very moment I could see why I was struggling so hard the last three weeks and why my creativity got locked inside of me. I also understood that as long my husband resists to participate in developing a strategy for his bike business and our house building project I need to let it go and hand over the points and tasks to the Divine. Otherwhise I only supply more energy to his resistance. I need to free myself from that pressure and burden on my shoulders. I need to know the diffrence!

So I pray:

Please, God, grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change; please, grant me the courage to change the things I can change, and please, grant me the wisdom to know the difference.

So, why not focus more on what I can change?!

What about giving myself more direction and developing a plan for my online business which is Live up to you??!!
Live up to you is not a name and it is not a title. It is a philosophy!

When I have a plan I can divide big chunks in smaller steps and move on in the right direction every day. Step-by-step, I can accomplish important goals every day and feel the difference in my life.

And the many, many tasks I have and love to do cease overwhelming me. They will invite me to join them!

I will become more able to acknowledge and enjoy them!

I have a kind of plan but still not really good one. Therefore, I'm struggling with my efficiency!
I can do it better! :-)

Lionel Messi a football player from Argentina said once: It took me 17 years and 114 days to become an overnight success.

It took me my entire life to prepare for my overnight success at WA. From now on it is only a matter of months for my success to show up.

Thank you for taking time and reading! I wish you to know the difference!

Aloha, Jenna

I was at a Chinese restaurant, my fortune cookie said, confusuis say, Don't wait for ship to come in, swim out to it. I thought, That's it!

Wow! Yep! That's it!

Very very cool!

Aloha, Jenna

You are so right, Jenna. You need a plan. I have a plan, but it needs some 2019 revising. Maybe I'll do that on the ferry tomorrow, headed for Juneau.

No, overnight success is indeed a rarity, no matter what the scammers tell you. We work for what we get. However, if we work hard, and in the right way, we will get everything we want. I'm in. Let's go for it.

Let's go for it! Fran!

Hi Jenna, just took a look at your site. Be proud of it. Jenna changing things in one's life could be a huge task. God grant me the freedom and wisdom to write what I feel in my heart, the courage to be myself and share about the experiences I have been a part of. What effects did the volcano have on your life. You were courageous to go through a lot. Jenna you are re-building your life and you are working with WA. I totally admire you and encourage you just to sit down and share your feelings during that time Kilauea changed the landscape. Just be yourself Jenna and whatever comes to mind write it in a note book come back to the computer and share what was going through during the eruptions. I love Hawaii and was hoping for everyone to be alright. All the best Jenna

Can I borrow the quote from you, Michael? :-) For ever? :-))
God grant me the freedom and wisdom to write what I feel in my heart, the courage to be myself and share about the experiences I have been a part of.
It made my cry. So touching.

Thank you so much for your suggestion!! It did touch my deeply cause I'm just planning this ... Yes! I want to add "More About Me" page and include the most important teachings I got. Meaningful experiences, crazy experiences. Big step to show so much of me. Your suggestion is so touching because I originaly come from the science (social psychology and sociology) and as a scientist you step back behind the content and the findings. Also as a coach and trainer I always stepped back behind my clients supporting them to do and heal themselves.
I always paid attention to be a good model. Was easy to me.
Thank you for recommending to emphasize the eruption experience. Yes, it was an awakening. A big deal. Still is.
Yes, I love Hawaii too. Could kiss every stone here :-)
MAHALO Michael!

Aloha back to you!
Jenna

Hi Jenna, you may use the quote, but after reading it again I would delete the, about, it does not seem to fit nicely.
MAHALO Jenna

Thank you, Michael!
I will change the about!

Aloha, Jenna! ... that's a really good question --- and an interesting one as well ... !

.... most of the time, when a seeming overnight success happens, the whole story has yet to be told when the person experiencing such actually worked at it for many years and a ton of effort and / or experiments to eventually arrive at the a-ha! moment... or eureka! ... ⭐️

yes, an effective plan with written goals are always a good idea -- especially written goals as most would be achieved -- somewhere in the neighbourhood of over 80-90% fulfillment rate.

... sometimes, life does take over and we need to adjust any plan accordingly so we also do need flexibility in our approach to working things out ...

... while it sounds like your 'hubby' appears disengaged for the time being -- gotta remember that people react to and handle loss and trauma differently and he may not be able to articulate all that is bothering him ... patience is key ... no one is saying that it's easy to re-build again after a disaster ... sometimes it's two steps backward or a few side steps before going forward again ... life is like that.... however, a focused energy on working one goal together at a time can work out amazingly! ... gotta talk it out ... he may also be feeling insecure at a time when the pressure is on to make ends meet for the household ... or perhaps, because he already knows what success looks like, he is continuing on a track that he is familiar with and his comfort zone is there... human beings are like that -- and it's ok to like feeling comfortable ... no one wants pain, right?

... sending positive, loving thoughts your way to help mend any 'hurts' or 'slights' felt ... life is just too short ... remember the saying. ' to err is human, to forgive divine!'

BE your divine self, Jenna! ... love is unconditional ... 🧡 ... work with him and help him as best as possible ... success is always yours and his together ....

... by the way, have you had a chance to read The Five Love Languages by Chapman ... it contains helpful means & ways of communications ... sometimes we just don't realize what we see or hear ... and our partner also likely doesn't realize what they see or hear >> so it results an a dis-connect of communications ... suggest you might want to check it out for greater understanding ... relationships are such sensitive things sometimes, aren't they?

wishing you all the very best of everything good, cheerio ... 😊

p.s. didn't mean to go at length here and for some unknown reason, just felt you needed some support and encouragement as life does take its toll ... keep well, healthy & happy ... tks.

Thank you so much, Keisha for all your beautiful thoughts, suggestions and mental and emotional support! I had absorbed every word :-) Thank you!

I already found Chapman's e-book online. I will read and learn.
You completely right about the languages!!! I really see this in my relationship. Patience and trust are THE keywords.
There is so much wisdom in your lines - you grasped all main content perfectly right!
It is about unconditional love - practicing it! He is practicing it too. I see it. I need to listen better.
I wish I could be more wife than a coach for both of us but it is ok. I know it is a matter of balance.

Thank you so much, dear friend for your help and encouragement!
Thank you for taking time!!
Yes, I needed it! And it helped me a lot! Deeply grateful for it!

I wish you an awesome day!
God bless you, Keisha!
Aloha, Jenna

... soo-o glad to have been of beneficial help for you! ...

... yes, Chapman's work is really good and it'll help to give both you and your hubby a working insight into each other's love bank -- greater understanding should come about as a result ... and hopefully, with some tender baby steps, more success, too!

whew! ... a life preserver sure comes in handy, doesn't it?! ...

it truly is my sincere wish to help others actualize in this lifetime as i believe that all is possible on earth as all is already known in the universe ...

keep well & dive into Chapman's lessons bit by by -- just the ones that you feel are relevant and do it together with your special one ... he needs it too ... it's really a simple discussion facilitator to get over a hurdle or two >> it's really for greater understanding of each other's needs ... well, you gotta start with your own need first ... and by the way, it does change over time -- nothing is static -- life is dynamic!

... and of course, i'm here for you and whenever you might feel the need to chat or have a question you'd like to mull over -- just send a message ...

blessings to you both for everything good, cheerio ... 😊

Yes, it does, Keisha! And we will figure it out!
You are right! Need to start to cover my needs more. Stop waitung on him. Then I will be freer.
You change one thing and the entire system changes.
With your advice and Chapman's book I may find the right button!

Thank you so much! Cheerio!

God bless you!
