My Conclusions After a Long Vacation

Hello guys!

Long-time was not writing. Some things happened to me at this time.

Firstly, I have a great summer. I have been 12 days in beautiful Greece, visited a couple of places and beautiful beaches, and then I spend about ten days fishing on the Danube at Serbian- Romanian border.

In both places I have horrible internet, so luckily for me, I have full rest.

I read two books - one was about women that cycled the world.
So, after I come home, I bought a bicycle :)

Ok, what about my online business?

I wish I am litllemama or JerryHuang, but I'm not. I'm much slower. I'm still writing on my native language and then translate posts to English.

In average, I'm writing four posts a week, and Google yet doesn't like me too much.
So, I'm boosting my social media accounts, and most of my website visitors are still from it
( I have around 37K followers on my four social accounts: Pinterest, Twitter, Instagram, and Facebook).

But I'm satisfied. I know this is not the race. Its marathon and I will come to the Finish line if I have enough strength.

This is the point when my bicycle comes to the scene.

This summer, I found out that I need more air and more space and more freedom.
Actually, I need more balance in my life.

Last 2 and a half year, I was spending most of my time on the computer. Sometimes 12 or more hours per day. And I feel overwhelmed.

So, my goal for the next four-month is to balance my life. I will still be writing 4 posts a week, but I will try to rest of the time spent outside and enjoy. Instead of stressing so much because of the slow traffic growth, I will wait for it. It must come if I did anything correctly.

Don't get me wrong. I'm not leaving. I plan to be more productive in the time I spend on the internet and have more free time to spend in nature, with my family and to see places.

What do you think? What are your plans for the rest of the year?

Love, jelena

Hi Jelena, it's all about getting the right balance. Sounds like you know just what you need to do. Wishing you all the very best.

Lesley

Thank you so much, Lesley. I will post about my progress on balancing my work and free time 😁

Aloha, Jelena! I really like your post here. It really hits home with me this morning, as I have been kind of stuck with my life, and have not posted in almost a year. YIKES!!!! I know better! So, starting now, I am going to start blogging weekly again.
I too find that I need more rest, fresh air, and exercise in order to rebalance myself. Those 4 things are key for maintaining a productive and successful lifestyle.

Oh, Brenda, I'm so glad that my post inspired you!
I just come home from a long walk, and I feel great!

My plans are exactly like yours Jelena. Great post but I do have a question about your post.
Please tell me truthfully cause this is a subject that is uniform right throughout the entire world.
In actual fact, it is two questions:

1. How many fish did you catch?
2. How big were the fish?

Enjoy life............

Hahaha,
love your questions :)
I caught a lot of small fishes, but I`m proud of the three - we call them Babushka here. But Google told me it is the Prussian carp, Prussian silver carp or Gibel carp.
They were around 3 pounds each.

Do you fish too?

Yes, I like fishing but I haven't caught anything for a while in Sydney. Have to get away to remote areas. The best place I ever fished was along the Great Australian Bite. Wild, no people, beautiful waters with a variety of different species of fish.

Just for you, I edited my post so you can see the beauty of Danube river. First one is in the early morning, and the second is photographed from my deck chair where I read books all day.

WOW! looks beautiful. They are both great photos especially the morning viewing over the river into the mountains with the clouds above. Really love that photo.
And thank you for editing and sharing.

You are welcome :)

Jelena I love your post!! Yes it is true that we must separate time for the rest and relax. Then come new ideas and often we are more efficient. Have a good year and much succes! Vesna

Thank you so much, Vesna!
I will try it, and I will write a new post with my experience.

Hi Jelena, sounds like you have had an excellent summer.

The realy strange thing is that a lot of time on the screen doesn't necessarily translate into more outcomes.

From experience time spent on creating that balance can be the thing that makes all the difference.

Balancing energy expenditure is worth the effort.

Best wishes Jelena.

Thank you, Alex.
Your words give me more confidants to go to that direction.
I hope that balance is the spice I need :)

Nice to see that you are relaxed, which is important and part of your business. Now you are recharged and time to roar!

I completely agree with you Jelena. Finding that balance is very important if we want to succeed. Sitting in front of the computer and waiting for the traffic to grow is useless, we need to forget about analytics, just write and relax.

I paid for a gym last week and I can't describe how more productive I am when it comes to online business. There is no stress, I can write even 3 articles per day.

Also, focus on Bing and social media when it comes to traffic, Google is getting pretty hard lately with its updates...

Cheers,
Danijel

Oh, Danijel, you are right about Google. It is going harder and harder.

I`m glad that you start going to the gym. I will ride a bike till weather allows me, then I`m planning to start with a gym (until spring).

A lot of people told me the same - that they are more productive when after some physical activity. I am hoping I will stick to my new plan. :)

We all need that balance...for me i try to be outside at least once a day just enjoying the air and nature...it refreshs the soul and i tend to be more productive when i get back to the computer.
Biking is great exercise good for you

Thank you for your comment. I`m thinking the same.
I`m sure I will be more productive if I change my daily routine and spent some time outside. We will see :)
