Woeful Wednesday Withdrawal!
Hello everyone here in Wealthy Affiliate!
There is an old saying that Time Flies When You Are Having Fun. So it goes with Kevin's departure back up into the hinterlands of Nebraska!
He came early this morning to the eBay house where I was doing some more work on the computer after leaving the house, since Monica had to do shift at her other "sometime" part-time job!
Of course, we had a few beers and talked, but the main reason he came was to pick up his tires and wheels that we off-loaded here the other day!
I'll skip back to before I left the house this morning. Of course, the first item on that agenda had been doing my initial morning foray into the Wealthy Affiliate Community!
The moment I did that, Tig-Tig took off! I guess she has grown tired of it! I never will!
OOPS, I guess I had been wrong! I found her the bathroom, stuffing her face!
Sorry, Tig-Tig, you missed out on the excitement!
The Blog Dogs were not cooperating for having a picture taken today, so their loss!
Anyway, back to Kevin! He asked me about my old slot machine, So I told him to take a look at it!
He decided that he wanted to buy it, and so he did! One less thing to downsize from the eBay house, and I recovered the money I spent on it years ago!
His van was full, so he loaded it in the front seat and pulled the seat belt over it!
The title image depicts his sad departure from my town! It was sure fun while it lasted!
I, of course, have been talking to him on the phone as I did another venture into the Wealthy Affiliate Community, and even squeezed in my daily dose of Wealthy Affiliate research to boot!
I stepped outside, and lo and behold, the sun has broken through the cloud barrier! It was like night and day from this morning to this afternoon!
As I had hoped, on my second image of the sunny day, Humphrey finally made his appearance for HUMP day!
My next order of business will be going to the Warehouse complex to see if my crew is doing what they are supposed to be doing!
It seems that they are! The front of the building has all the vehicles removed, and they were taking trailers of scrap to sell and get paid!
I then went to the Post Office to mail a book that I sold on eBay! EBay's shipping policies have become really jacked-up, not allowing a media option to use their labels!
That makes shipping books--which I sell a good number of--quite costly to ship! At the post office, I was able to save $3.00! That adds up in a hurry!
When I left there, I had a small errand to run. The drive was very scenic and relaxed!
I have more tasks lined up at the eBay house. Aside from writing this post, I also have to locate a magazine I sold, and so far it isn't looking too promising!
When I wrap things up at the eBay house, I will then head home and enjoy a nice evening with Monica!
When I was outside doing a few more tasks, I took a picture of the pleasant evening!
I HOPE THAT EVERYONE HAD A SUCCESSFUL AND SAFE HUMP DAY! MINE HAS BEEN OKAY SO FAR!

Lovely to hear of your fun adventures with Kevin and hope you see him again soon. Friends are important and always good to catch up them. I love your photos as the road scenes look so peaceful. My furry friend is sitting on my lap as I type and seems ready for work! Best wishes to Monica:)

EBay finally dropped what listings I had left about a month ago and I don't miss them a bit.
I sell a few books and periodicals, and Etsy lets you print media mail labels from their platform. I've started my own WooCommerce store as well; I don't miss eBay one bit.😉
They are not offering media mail for books now, it seems, Cynthia, and that is the last straw for me! I have to stand in the line at the post office most times now so it is moving backwards rather than forwards! I'll have to look at Etsy!
How is your Woocommerce store working out?

Honestly, I'm struggling with WooCommerce, I still have so much to learn. However, I am slowly building my store, and I will get it where I want it and I refuse to give up.
I know I mentioned Etsy to you before. Their fees are much lower than eBay, and I'm actually doing quite well with my Etsy store. Even when I was selling on both platforms, my Etsy store always outsold my eBay store.
Etsy offers USPS and FedEx shipping labels, including USPS media mail. You can purchase postage through them at reduced prices the same as eBay. If you sell a lot of books it would definitely pay for you to check it out. 🙂
I might be a convert to Etsy before this is all over, Cynthia! I'll check it out and will keep you apprised!
Let me know when your woocommerce store is working to your satisfaction! I'm still not sure about that one yet!

with the controversy on availability of manufactured car parts now -- what's the best type of vehicle to get these days? ... certainly anything having to be shipped from overseas such as imports would be somewhat less desirable for the next year or so? ...
I can make it around my town, and that's about it, Keishaoi!
Also with property taxes looming to the tune of about $2,500, that crushes any budget for a better vehicle! I'll have to make due, especially with the "clown show" 'government' that is essentially a dictatorship here in the States! 😳

Today, i will try to return to most of my other normal routines!
As far the slot machine, I've had it for about 10 years--got it at an auction. I am trying to de-clutter the eBay house little by little and it was time to let it go to a new and good home!
Humphrey surprised the heck out of me, but so far, he has never failed to show up since he first started appearing a long time ago! 🐫

Yes, I was...then I crashed and burned, when I was blocked. It crushed me emotionally for one, and stripped away all momentum.
Timing was Christmas and New Year's!
Tomorrow is my 4 years WA anniversary, so we came in around the same time, Jeff!
This new year will be our best, yet, Jeff! Hold that thought!!

For what it costs to own one reliable vehicle here in Kansas with insurance, property tax, and exhorbitant registration fees, I could fix all 117 of those, if I didn't have property tax due 5 days before Christmas, Nick! 😳

I actually had a nice surprise this week, the dreaded end of year property tax letter arrived and upon opening it found out that we havs to pay €0 this year!!
I never understand how the tax system works in this country, but normally it's between 2-3k a year!

Generally, they send the bills and I just pay them, but I may have to start asking a few questions in the future about where the amount comes from!
