Tiresome & Tedious Thursday Travails #2!
Hello everyone here in Wealthy Affiliate!
The title image shows roof damage to one of the outbuildings at the warehouse complex that I own! I discovered it after I was preparing to leave for the evening!
With Tommy Williams' assistance from next door, we managed to temporarily stand the fence back up! (He assisted, since Sylvester, the guy I allow the use of the yard in the complex to perform his scrapping business didn't show up after he said he'd be there in 20 minutes to assist--now well over 8 hours ago!) He is gathering up some tools that we used!
The "finished" product of our temporary repairs is above! Below is what it looked like before!

I also discovered that the front gate had been obliterated too, but we didn't get to that tonight!
I'll reach out to Sylvester again tomorrow, and if he does not assist, I will boot him off of our arrangement! (He uses the yard and promises to do all upkeep and maintenance in exchange for not paying any rent!)
All he has really done was trashed it up even more! It was a "win-win" situation in the beginning, but not so much now!
Moreover, I also noticed that the French door on the warehouse was open, and discovered that the wind had ripped the hinges loose! That is all fixed now too, but while I was up there was when I also looked across and down and discovered the roof damage in the title image!
When this is taken care of, I also have repairs to do at the locksmith shop house, as well!
I've definitely got my work cut out for me in the coming weeks, weather permitting!
I need all the prayers and thoughts that I can get!

Bummer about the damage, my friend. At least nobody was hurt. But, yes, it sounds like a lot of work.
Sylvester is not living up to his side of the bargain. That also sucks. I hope he has a good reason. I suppose he might due to the storm, but still.....

It is, indeed, Alex! No one was hurt here that I know of!
Sylvester said he has a lot of paying storm clean-up work, but I reminded him that his Home base needs to come first---before there is no longer a home base!
He still never showed after saying he would get by there today!

That does look like a bit more damage than first thought Jeff.
I can see you will be busy for a while there! If that Sylvester fella doesn't show and pitch in then it is definitely time to amend that arrangement!
Maybe try to get Humphrey on the blower, he certainly has a strong pair of shoulders and could assist with some of the heavy lifting (if he sticks round for that long of course)!🐫

Those are my thoughts too, Nick! I ran into him face-to-face today, and of course he gave the song and dance about having a lot of work with the storm damage! I informed him that his Home base has plenty of storm damage too, and that should be priority!
We shall see how that progresses! Humphrey probably won't be interested, but I'll see if he sticks around long enough! 🐫
This Frisatsu has started better than yesterday, though I have discovered even more damage! It is what it is! I hope your Friday portion has been going well, my friend!

Young Humphrey has proven to be quite resourceful in the past.. so maybe if he sticks around and can get a few of his frat buddies involved as well, it will make your life a little easier there!🐫🐫

No complaints about my Friday portion so far, but the PSIL has recently made a considerable dent in my 'grape juice', so an early night with a film on locked away in my bedroom away from the madness is how my evening is heading!!🤣

I didn't bother, Nick! I belatedly found out that large portions of the town have no water! I'll be going over there soon to see if the water is back on!

I'd give that Sylvester character the boot right now, Jeff. The least he can do is call and tell you why he's a no-show. But not a peep!

Looks like you have a big job ahead of you friend. I'd be having a long talk to Sylvester and explaining to him that the arrangement isn't working. Its sad when you do so much to help a person but they don't keep their part of the bargain. I've been through that myself and it ended up costing me a lot of money. All the best. Jim
Thanks, Jim! I really was trying to help the guy out! I've been burned more than a few times, but I do it because it is the right thing to do! God will look out for me in the end! We will see how things go!

My prayers are with you Jeff. Not only for the repair of all this damage but that it is not followed by any further storms. We are in the last days and prophesies regarding the weather (and gov't) are being fulfilled. Prayers strongly needed. 🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏
