Timorous Thursday Travails Tend To Try The Timid!
Hello everyone here in Wealthy Affiliate!
As you can see from the title image, we got our promised snow! Perhaps 2 maybe three inches of it at best, so we are a lot better off than many others! Our temperature is a balmy 10 degrees Fahrenheit, and the sun is out!
I woke up late--around 9:45am, and reluctantly got up, got dressed and took some more images outside!
Although very cold, I love to capture snow images when I can! They belie a certain peace beyond the frigid temperatures!
Now, if only the sun will turn on its heating element, all will be fine!
After this, I deep dove into the Wealthy Affiliate Community again! This is the main routine I employ to get my day started on the right track!
Kitty bounded in from elsewhere to assist me in this endeavor! When I finished with that, I shifted to some more Wealthy Affiliate research!
With that completed, I could then focus on some other tasks which needed to be done too!
Then, with the house feeling a bit cold, I went outside and cleaned off the jeep and fired it up to make sure the battery was up! While sitting in the driver's seat, I snapped an image of the sun over the house next door!
I needed to go pick up a couple of things at the store anyway, so I decided to drive on down there while the jeep was running!
The drive down toward one of the main streets was quite pleasant! When that was finished, I started a picture taking frenzy since this was likely the last time I would be outside the house!
Those were all images snapped on the return trip to the eBay house!
When I walked back in, I noticed that Kitty finally got smart and got onto the blankets (sometimes she also goes under them).
I also went into the computer room and warmed my hands on my improvised "Hand warmer" powered by a solo candle!
That being accomplished, I will go outside and finish filling the trashcan for tomorrow's trash pick-up!
Then, it will be more computer time for the bulk of the evening while talking to my buddy on the phone up in Nebraska while he does "Roll-by" for the outbound trains!
There was no locksmith work today, and that is perfectly alright with me--it is really too cold to do any effective work today!
I'll leave you with a snow picture of Blog Dog Shadow, since Monica has not been kind enough to send me anymore yet! She's likely busy on her days off!

Nice temperatures and just a light dusting of the white stuff which produced some wonderful pictures as well!!
We had a VERY light dusting here today, not even enough to turn the garden white for even a second... but the dark cloud still hovers above!😔😔

Yeah Bairstow has batted like he belongs in the Aussie side and really showed some grit mate. Depending on what the wicket does as it gets older i think a draw is a high possibility mate.
The first time an English batsman has shown any grit in this series mate!
Just wait for the imminent English batting collapse in the fourth innings when trying to bat out the fifth day for the draw though!!

In regards to the English cricket team Jeff, I fear that dark cloud will be around for a while yet!!
As for the more troublesome very dark cloud though.. I have high hopes that by about this time tomorrow the sky will be clear again!!🤣
There are still a possible couple of spanners that could be thrown into the works.. but I must believe and stay positive my friend!!

The English cricket teams cloud, while concerning being a big fan of another sport we invented.🤣🤣. is not a huge concern at the moment as we are getting thrashed anyway by the Aussies!!
But the main dark cloud is lightening...

Fortunately my friend, the plan went nearly as planned.. there was a couple of hours delay from the original plan..
But the end result was as I had planned for at the beginning of the day!!

I just don't know how long it will be until the cloud returns though..
But, I will definitely make the most of the clear skies as I can!!

They predicted freezing temps, tonight, but my report says it will only get to the 40's.
I put towels around my revived lemon "bush" and new grapefruit tree. Better safe than sorry.

We are at around 6 or 7 degrees right now! Somehow, next week we are supposed to be in the 40s or 50s! I'll be able to open up the door and let the house regain some of the degrees it is losing right now!

Well, I've shoveled out the end of my driveway 3x thanks to the plows. We are currently awaiting round 2! I could have stayed in NY!!! Grrrrrrrrr I'm might whine but not complain. I don't have to sleep under 9 blankets. You really need to rethink this whole thing. I know it's a guy thing to think that you're Army tough. Remember I was married to one of those but winter could get worse! Just a thought.

Winter could get worse, but right now, my internet is here, and the computers are here! It would be very problemastic to transfer everything over there, and no place to reliable place the computer! When times gets desperate, I'll go over there, but right now, I sleep alot better not breathing in the warm air!

That was a real problem with burst pipes for a week!
Planning on anything that comes, but yes! We certainly don't want a repeat.
This year I'll be ready.
Many subdivisions actually cut off the water completely, and had no problem with pipes.
We were told not to run the water, which created my problem.
I'll be putting on a slow trickle or have city shut mine off if we get another hard freeze. Lessons learned.
I ran my pool pump 24/7 and had no problem with that.
Just hoping history doesn't repeat itself this year, Bro!

My nephew said gas in San Francisco area is 5+ a gallon, where San Diego is 4+. There's an extra tax up there.
The way the economy is right now, it's breaking people.

Yes, another dusting of snow, but with the frigid temperature it turns quite slippery in a very short time!
