Rad Ron's Reunion & Rendezvous!
Hello everyone here in Wealthy Affiliate!
Today was Thanksgiving for a lot of us! While I could not be with my family this time, my best friend, Ron, welcomed me into his home again this year!
I had spoken with him this morning, and his daughter and son-in-law were going to pick me up around 11:00am.
The drive over to Enterprise, Kansas was nice! We arrived over there in short order.
I was able to ride a little of the way over to his house with their Corgi puppy, Rose!
This what it looked like on arrival there!
I went downstairs and captured a shot of his bar. Soon after, guests were arriving!
There were snack trays on the table down there too! GOOD STUFF! About 2 hours later the food was ready, but I did go upstairs some to assist with setting the table! It was GREAT!
Ron, his wife, and daughter were hastily finishing preparations in the kitchen.
There was a lot to do, and I helped a lot with it too. It was the least that I could do!
They really tend to outdo themselves!
It was very nicely laid out!

What a grand meal, and we all laughed, ate well, and had a lot of fun! There were an awful lot of other friends there who I had not seen in a while!
After that, it was time to watch a little more football, and then, instead of driving the truck that he is trading me back tonight, I'll likely take delivery of it this weekend or early next week.
These are two shots of it.
It will definitely alleviate my transportation issues.
There were some more interactions before I finally left with his son-in-law and daughter! It was one of the best Thanksgivings that I have had!
Now back at the eBay house, I have been answering posts, and I am now putting the finishing touches on this blog post.
The Blog Dogs and Kitty have been tended to, and everything is going well!
I hope that everyone else had an excellent Thanksgiving too! I really did not want this day to end!
Tomorrow, I will be back in the grind, after retiring early tonight after the satisfying holiday festivities!

The table image reminds me when I was a kid, Jeff! When I had to help my dad pull out the extra folding table and gather as many extra chairs as I can to seat all the guests!
I'm glad that your friend Ron keeps you in mind during the holiday season and always keeps an extra place set for you at his table.

They always go all out for all of us who have no other place to go, and I would celelbrate with them all the time! They are truly family in the true sense of the word!

Sounds like you had a lot of fun and sorry you couldn't celebrate it with your family this year. At least you got to celebrate Thanksgiving with friends that do have your best interest.

Thanks, Myra! The GREAT friends that I got to celebrate with ARE my family! Hopefully, there will come a time to be able to spend it with my other family, but until then, we do what we must do!

Hi Jeff, I am so happy that you had a excellent Thanksgiving. I am so sorry that you didn't get to share this day with your family but you in reality you did your second family.
It was just me and John and our two fur babies and that is it for me. We watched the Macy's Day Parade on TV and had some good food and it was peaceful.
When life get messy as they have been for us we just need to be thankful for what we have and not what we don't have. John and I have been through quite a bit since the first of this year. It just seems like when does it stop but it doesn't.
And as it has been said it only makes you stronger but where I couldn't see it before I can see it now. All we can do is thank God things are not any worse then what they are.

Hi Jeff, Yes I can understand how you feel even though I can't image what you are feeling. And I am not going to say that I know exactly how you feel because I don't, all I can say is that I understand that you have many different feelings to deal with.
But you can say you were with family not biological but adopted because you were with people that love and care about you and wasn't going to let you be alone for Thanksgiving.

Hi Jeff you are so very welcome and yes I do know hardships and heartaches but the hardships beat out the heartaches by a long shot.
I guess that is why I can help many people solve their problem a lot easier then I can solve my problems. I am learning many things through this journey though.
I don't know exactly what, the lesson is there I just either haven't seen it yet or it hasn't been revealed to me yet. I just have to practice what I preach and leave the rest to God.

Hi Jeff, I understand that and he has been telling me all along and I haven't been listening so now that is what I need to do is listen. I have to get my act straight and do better. And when I start being better things will get better and what I mean is when I thank God for everything which I haven't been doing.
