When the inclement winter weather outside changes almost on a dime day-to-day in Kansas, USA, I am so very glad to be able to simply sit down at the computer and get some things done here at Wealthy Affiliate!

Well, of course it's snowing right now, finally on the way to that initially forecast 4". This new round of weather has derailed a couple of tentative plans for tomorrow, but such is life!
I know that many of you might feel like you're stretched too thin, and I completely understand those feelings!
Unfortunately, life's activities and sometimes unfortunate events wait for no one, and unless you are a very experienced juggler, an adept multi-tasker, or a person who operates without sleep, it is almost impossible to keep up with everything!
One of the primary reasons that I love Wealthy Affiliate is because there is NO pressure except that which we put upon ourselves!
I've thought about this as I stand on my poor thinking deck, now covered with blown snow!
It's exciting to me that I am allowed to work at my OWN pace, especially since I am slow--a turtle, I tell many of my friends here!
I've recently read blog posts of many newer members wanting to know how long it will be before the money comes in. Some of them appear to have no appreciable content written. I will reiterate here AGAIN, that most new businesses don't even show profit for the first year, and sometimes even for the first few years!
Remember, BABY STEPS every day will get you to your ultimate success, but you MUST budget some time. Start with a mere 15 minutes, and then slowly add 5 minutes every day, until you've budgeted an hour. I wake up an hour early in the morning to get a head start in the community and read over some training.
This might not seem like very much time, but it's a heck of a lot better than no time at all!
Besides, if the snow keeps up, I might NOT be going anywhere any time soon!

Hey Jeff, I like "striving and thriving" as well as baby steps. "Baby steps" is my motto and has been since I started WA. If you are always stepping forward, even if it's tiny steps, you will eventually make it to your goals. As for the snow, I'm a bit more stuck at home than you with a foot of the fluffy stuff covering the ground. Thank the Lord for WA. Looking for the shinney lining? Well, at least the roads are plowed for now, and once they are plowed you are no longer stuck at home. LOL
Very true, Linda! The sun actually peeked through a little today, but too cold to melt the snow!
You should see the blanket of snow er have where I live. There is about a foot of snow covering the ground. More snow is predicted for tomorrow too. Do you know how difficult it is to ride a wheelchair through this stuff? Well at least it is cozy warm inside, so I think I'll just stay inside a few weeks longer. Thank goodness for WA. I don't know what I'd do without it! I agree with you that Baby Steps is the way to work here. Just keep on stepping one step at a time.'

Your so right, I came here to move at my own pace. Now that might seem slow to some or even fast to others but never the less it's my pace. i don't care how long it takes to see the money, I am going to do something every day to reach my goal here at WA. Thanks Jeffrey, stay warm!
You did it again!! You sent all your snow our way - quit that would ya lol?!? Yep, over the last 24 hours or so about 4" have piled up, the bulk of it just over night. And yep, you guessed it - I get to go out there this morning, once again, to brave the roads on my way to work (argh!).
Getting to the main plot of your post though - I think there are still those who have only seen the 'make money in 5 minutes' online gimmicks. Thus when they first land at WA they are expecting to find the same; they are looking for that hook line promising them the fast easy money. Some do not stick around here long enough to find that WA really does offer a legitimate business opportunity, if only one puts in the time and energy to achieve it - aka LOTS of 5 minute increments lol.
It only takes that first 5 minute baby step to start however and as all of us who like to play in the snow know, once that ball gets rolling it gets easier and easier to build up to that snowman!
You and Shadow have fun and try not to slide around too much!

Your assessment is SPOT-ON, Shannon. Once that first critical baby step is taken, the slowly but surely momentum builds and ultimately a successful business is born!
Why not sacrifice some TV or video game time and instead invest in ones self to provide at the very least an additional income stream, and at best, a replacement business for the drudgery of a thankless 9-5 job?
How far one advances in this arena is completely up to the individual, and how much they are willing to give up and put into the effort!
Stay safe this weekend in the snow (sorry about that🙄😊)!

Well, the good news is the snow is kinda melting and... I have observed several geese flying...North maybe?
A couple of signs that things are about to turn around for the better!
Hang in there...maybe this ridiculous winter weather is nature's way of putting us where we belong - in front of our computers creating content!

I've seen lots of geese too, Susan, and it does look like they were moving North, and of course it's nature's way of prompting us to do our WA work!😉
