Monica Made My Mood Much More Motivating!

My Hump day got much better around 1:30 pm when Monica called and asked what I was doing. Shortly thereafter, she picked me up, and we first stopped by Walmart and walked around for a bit.

She couldn't go to Manhattan until a little later because she had to go get Samantha from school. When we left from there, she started driving towards I-70, and got on it to head to Manhattan--Home of Kansas State University--I asked her about Samantha, and she said she simply texted her and told her to catch the school bus home!

We were on our way! On the way, I took an image of an Army Apache Helicopter in flight, while we were chatting amiably about different things!

There were a couple more behind it in a loose formation! This was near the Army Airfield on the base.

The drive was quite pleasant and the conversation even more.

We first decided to go to the mall first, since I wanted her to pick out her birthday present! (which ended up as "presents" which was fine by me!) I picked her up a couple of rings she liked--since they were on clearance. Then we walked around some more before deciding we were hungry.

Since we are both from Texas originally, her from Pasadena, and myself from Dallas, she thought it fitting that we should eat at the Texas Roadhouse--coincidentally where we had eaten when we first started dated and I had bought her engagement and wedding rings from Zales about 5 years back. It was located adjacent to the mall!

Weirdly, because it was just approaching 4:30 pm at this time, we actually got a huge discount for early dining! She responded to a text from her mom and texted the kids at home to make sure everyone was doing well there.

When the meal was served, we had already been stuffing our faces with the signature bread and cinnamon butter. We still managed to get some of it down, but took boxes home too! We both had stuffed baked potatoes, and mine is just off camera! We had already scarfed down the first basket of complimentary rolls too.

Monica took a couple of pictures of me too--eating my food--since I always seemed to do it to her when we went out! We laughed and had some GREAT conversation!

Since it was still relatively early when we finished eating, the plan was to go back to the mall where we walked around to exercise some of the food off! She always walks faster than I do, one because I am a little slower since I am missing a good portion of my right foot, and also because she walks daily at work fast as she cleans a 45,000 sq. foot or larger warehouse facility! She has lost A LOT of weight since working there!

We had gone to Zales earlier to have the wedding rings cleaned, and she had seen something there to get her mother for Mother's day, so we walked back over there, and she purchased the bracelet on sale so can can give it to her.

I had to take some pictures of her! I've missed her so much! She saw an emerald ring and some earrings while we were there, and I bought her those since emeralds are her birthstone.

When we went back to Junction City, she dropped me back off at the eBay house and went on to her moms to get her birthday presents for there, give her mom her mother's day present, and spend some time with them!

She sent me some pics of her wearing the earrings, and the ring, below!

I wished her a good night, and thanked her for such a wonderful evening. On her birthday card I had given her earlier, I still told her that I loved her.

We shall see how that goes, but I still think the night was a huge success!

I'll as doing a little more site work tonight as I talk to my buddy Kevin on the phone!
