Hello everyone here in Wealthy Affiliate!

Last night, I listened to the KC Chiefs win their football game at the last minute.

I did a little more writing, and talked to Monica for a little while early on, and then let her go because she said she was tired. Kevin called later, and I talked ot him for a few minutes too. Then I fell asleep.

I was rudely awakened by Monica calling me at 3:33 am. She did not have a lot of time to talk, but she told me she was at the Hospital in Manhattan, KS. She had complained of a stomach ache a few times when I talked to her on numerous times on Sunday.

It turned out that she had an appendicitis, and she will have her appendix removed some time today. This unexpected surgery, on top of her trying to recover from her recent knee replacement surgery. I hope to have some more news later in the day, All thoughts and prayers are much appreciated from all of you wonderful people in the Wealthy Affiliate Community.

Of course, because of this news, I'm going slower than I normally would be to start the new week. but I am staying busy trying to keep my mind off of things that I have no control over or a part in.

I finally got motivated enough to venture into the Wealthy Affiliate Community for my normal morning sojourn.

This time, Kitty surprised me, and came in to assist! That was a big moral support lift for me from her.

After the fire was going again, I ventured outside to capture the first images of the day, including the title image.

It started out chilly, but it was in the high 30s when I took these images.

We will actually end up in the mid 50s, I believe.

After concluding this, I ended up concentrating on some more writing, while also keeping my mind occupied until I find out something from Monica. I have been praying for her a lot today though.

The writing was in my new Kindle Vella Episode #8 that I began.

I also plan to write a quick post on my book promotion site too. All of these things make up a good chunk of my Wealthy Affiliate research portion of the day.

I fed the Blog Dogs, and also ate a little more leftover chili for 'Brunch'. In fact, I will likely finish it today. It is time to make a different dish anyway.

I was working on the computer some more when a barrage of locksmith calls came in. I landed one from a Realtor--all the others were ridiculous calls--I won't explain further, but I have had jobs like these before, and they never panned out. There were too many red flags about them anyway.

It was good that I didn't end up taking any of them though because the job I had tended to take about 2 hours anyway, and there would have been no way for me to help any of the others, as it turned out.

These are all last minute jobs right before people leave to visit relatives, etc.

The drive to the job that I did take was quite pleasant. It was all the way across town.

The lock had been tampered with on a vacant property and they couldn't get any key to work. It turned out when I finally had to drill it out and replace it that the bolt mechanism was bad too.

I got the other lock in after the job of getting the other one out--it did not want to cooperate. Whew! Then right after that, when I was heading back to the eBay house around 4 pm, I got a call about someone needing a 2015 Jeep Key! I had to refer them too because I quit doing car keys years ago.

It has been a trying day.

I still have heard nothing about Monica's surgery. I left her a text, and reached out to Samantha. She responded shortly after that, that she hoped so because her older sister has not told her anything yet either. She said she'd let me know when she found out something. I will keep everyone here posted.

UPDATE: Samantha informed me that Monica is home from the hospital!!!

The rest of this evening will be spent writing and catching up on some things

I HOPE THAT EVERYONE HERE HAS HAD AN EXCELLENT START TO THE NEW WEEK. OBVIOUSLY, MINE COULD HAVE BEEN BETTER, BUT WE ALL HAVE THOSE DAYS AT SOME TIME OR ANOTHER.

Sincerely,

Jeff, the BLOG DOGS, and Kitty

Hi Jeff, WOW I wasn't expecting this. I hope that you had heard something more about Monica and how she is doing. I know that is has been a lot of life happening,

I have been through this exact something with my husband John. He had appendicitis but it was misdiagnosed and I don't want to scare you but exactly 2 weeks after we were married the doctor said if I had not gotten John into the hospital when I did, he would have been dead, I would be burying him.

His appendix had a pin hole and it was leaking septic poison in his system. The next morning after he was admitted into the hospital, the doctor had to perform emergency surgery on John. He was running another high fever and his pressure was through the roof.

The hospital called me and by the time I got to the hospital he was already in surgery. But his appendix had ruptured on the OR table. It was a mess, the doctors, nurses, floor, ceiling, it just went. The doctors ran all the tests but what happen was the poison sack was push off to the side and it was not picked up on until they opened him up. I spent six weeks in the hospital with him.

But my situation was I was running between two hospitals and home. I was John's parents caregiver and I had to take Dad to dialysis three times a week and I had to take care of John's Mom too. Because I also cooked, cleaned, did laundry and did everything but I did it unconditionally.

I know what it means to wait but my prayers are with you and Monica and the family. She will be as good as new.

Getting that locksmith job was a blessing but also kept your mind occupied which was a good thing. I am so sorry that you both had to go through something like this.

Mary

Oh wow, Mary! I'll bet that was quite traumatic for the both of you!

Monica just felt a sharp pain in a strange place and went to the emergency room! It was a good thing that she did!

Jeff

Hi Jeff, Yes it was, but Thank God that he was in the hospital when that happen. Yes I was running with my head cut off, but I did it unconditionally.

How is Monica doing? I hope that she is okay now. Keep me posted I am concern about her. I don't like hearing when someone sick because my EMT kicks in.

What I mean is when someone is sick I have to take care of them. This has always been a thing with me ever since I took care of my grandmother when she was sick. And ever since then I have always been the one to take care of everybody.

I don't mind taking care of others I never have. It is important to take care of the family unit Family is important and I don't want to offend you in any way. Because I know it has been hard on you but I know you love your family and you only want the very best for them.

hat is why I have to get back into school and get my degrees and take my boards and then I can be a practicing psychologist in no time but I will have one leg up because I will also be carrying a criminal justices degree too.

That way I will be able to be more help to the veterans and to the mentally ill then.

Mary

When I know more about what is going on with her, I always pass it along, Mary!

It sounds like you need to get back to work to be the psychologist that I would believe that you would be very good at, my friend!

Jeff

Hi Jeff, I understand when no one tell you anything and you have figure it out for yourself. I know you will but you also know i am here to talk and listen.

When the lawsuit settles and I have the money to pay my tuition I can go back to school and finish then. And thank you for the compliment. I listen to everyone's problems and can advise them on what to do but for myself I either can't do it or I already know the answer to the problem and don't implement it.

I am very good at dispensing advice but yet I don't practice what I preach. I have always been this way. I can always help someone else but I can't help myself. That is the story of my life.

I just can't remember a time I wasn't helping someone or suggesting or advising. That is just me my friend.

Mary :))

I just go with the flow right now regarding Monica.

I wish you great success in your endeavors, my frined!

You definitely deserve it!

Jeff

Hi Jeff, Yes that is all you can do, is taking it one day at a time and taking your cues from Monica. I will continue to pray for you and Monica.

I am just working on my training with CAP and I hope that I can try to work on my training for WA soon. I really don't like that I can't work on my training for WA.

My friend you also deserve much success with your business too. And I pray that it blossoms into something that you can do full time.

Mary

Thank you from the bottom of my heart for your continued prayers, Mary!

Jeff

Sorry for all the mayhem, Jeff! Glad that Monica's surgery went well. I'll be praying for her speedy recovery. Another good thing to remember- although it was 3 AM in the morning - you were still the FIRST one that she reached out to.

Is there a way for you to get word out to your customers that you don't do particular jobs anymore? Like car keys and realtors - just so you don't have to waste any time with them.

Hope the week is going well for you and the crew! 😎🐶😺🐶

Isaiah 😊

Thanks for your kind thoughts and words, Isaiah! Aside from the people who took her to the hospital, since she knows I can't drive at night anyway, yes, I was one of the first to know.

She is doing much better, since she also called me first thing this morning too.

I DO take care of Realtors, but even my old ad on Google does not mention me doing automotive other than to unlock them.

The crew and I are staying busy with more writing and fire maintenance! I hope you have an Excellent Thanksgiving coming up!😎🐶😹🐶

Jeff🤠🦃

Hi Jeff, sorry to hear about Monica, she`s going through the wars at the moment, one thing after another eh. Animals do have a way of comforting you, like they know you are upset. Well done on your football win, bit of good news, I guess. Have a great week, if possible, what with the situation you're in at the moment with Monica, chin up, all the best, take care.

Thanks, Brian! She might be going through some wars right now, but she is definitely a trooper!

I am very happy to have the furry assistants for comfort!

The football victories has bolstered my mood, for sure.

Everything right now is simply tackled one day at a time, my friend!

I hope you have an excellent day!

Jeff

Hello Jeff!
I am sorry that you are going through such emotional turmoil about Monica's health situation. The best we can do right now is pray.
Hearing the update that she's home means that it's good. She just need to recover. Let's pray for speedy recovery .

Your weather situation is much better than ours, We are still on our 20's. Two wood burning stove constantly on!
The forecast blizzard did not take place in our area, (it stayed in Buffalo, NY -they had 4 to 6 feet ). We are still on a warning though.🥶

Slept soo loonnggg today!. Woke up at around 4pm, had soup and grilled cheese my husband made me. Then just continued to sleep and woke up at 10:30 pm.My body is trying to get ready for the Holidays!

Now I am up to respond to emails.

Take care Jeff! Stay warm and be well!

Cheers,
Maria

Thank you very much, Maria! Prayer is the most powerful tool that I have to deal with this!

She has called me twice, and she seems to be doing better! Whew! Thank you for your prayers!

We will get colder again, but I know that yours is much worse. I pray that you avoid most of the nastiness! 🙏🙏

I have been sleeping longer too. I think I might be trying to hibernate!🐻🥶

You stay well and warm too, my friend!

Jeff

Good to hear that Monica is doing better! And yes, Prayer is such a powerful tool. Many times, that is what I can only hold on when things get rough!

The sleeping is when our body needs to recharge. We have to respond when our body needs it. And I feel so refreshed right at this point.

Stay warm and be well!

Cheers,
Maria

Thanks, Maria, and I believe that it is because of all the Prayers and kind thoughts that she is doing well! You are right, just knowing that prayers are being sent will get us through some of the toughest times of our lives, no matter what the outcome turns out to be!

I agree. There are days when sleep is much needed to recharge us when we have been pushing our bodies over the limit for a while as we all tend to do on occasion!

Stay warm and be well too, my friend!

Jeff🥶🔥

Now doing some food shopping!

Getting ready for major cooking for the big event!

Cheers,
Maria

Haha! Maria! At least I don't have to do that!🦃

I'm going to my buddy, Ron's house, where I am welcome! Monica cannot seem to tell her older daughter to knock it off!

Jeff

😊
I love cooking Jeff! This gives me a good high too! It's an art! Mixing all those vegetables and meat to create a good savory dish, then seeing my family enjoy them ~ that's priceless!!!!

But I don't do it everyday! My daughter and my husband gets to do it.

So when I am in the kitchen ~ it's heaven for both of them!!!

Enjoy your Thanksgiving feast with your friends!!!

Cheers,
Maria

I still love doing that too, Maria, but it is just for me now, and occasionally the Blog Dogs get some of it too!

I'm glad that you will get some GREAT enjoyment from all of this!

I will enjoy Thanksgiving with my friend! They are always the best company!

Jeff🦃

Then we have some things in common! ~~ WA and cooking!!!!

Cheers,
Maria

We do, indeed, Maria, but I am sure that your cooking is much better than mine!🙄

Cheers!

Jeff

Well, modesty-aside, I will take that as factual!
My father-in-law who used to own a restaurant in New York City, attested that he can't defeat my cooking!!! That he always prefer my dishes! But that's just him being kind!!!

As he is Italian and I am Filipino ! So our spices differs!!!

Maria

I don't mind that at all, Maria!

That is a nice mix of tastes, my friend! Imagine the dishes that you could create together!

Jeff

That's why my daughter is fortunate to be exposed with the different types of dishes!!!

Hahaha! Build up your appetite for your Thanksgiving feast!

Maria

That makes perfect sense, Maria, and yes you did make my mouth water for the upcoming Thanksgiving feast!

Jeff🦃

Hahaha😂🤣😅

😉🙏

Wow, Jeff! What a harried day for you. That’s a shock hearing about Monica’s unexpected surgery. Sending prayers for a speedy recovery. Glad you had work to divert your thoughts. And of course, Kitty and the Dogs are always comforting. Hang in there.

Susan 🐶😹🐶

You've got that right, Susan! It was a shock to me, as well! Thanks for your prayers, they are very much appreciated! Yes, the furry assistants were here to comfort and assist me too! I'll hang in there! You have a pleasant evening.

Jeff🐶😹🐶

Wow, what a journey Monica had with her health issues. Sounds like she will need to heal from the knee surgery and now the appendix surgery. I'm glad she is home. She probably will need to take it easy for a few days. Even with the issue of worrying about her, sounds like the work gave you the needed distraction. I had a migraine today so I had to sleep it off I am feeling a bit better tonight. I can do some work in WordPress. .

Wow, i am so glad she did not ignore the symptoms. Glad she is home.

Thank you, Kathie! I am too!

Jeff

Keep your chin up Jeff.....
Monica is on the mend. Glad she is back home now. Hope you have a better remainder of the week!
Ceci

Thank you very much, Ceci! I appreciate the kind words! I hope so too, and I hope you have an excellent week, as well!

Jeff

I am sorry to hear about Monica
s appendix problems, but am glad she is back home. You all have my prayers and best wishes. :)

JD

Thank you, JD, much appreciated, it is just one of those things that happens! I was able to speak to her for a little bit, and she was willing to talk, but I could tell she was weak and tired and I told her if she was up to it later, she could call back!

Jeff

That is good. Wish her well for me. :)

I sure will, JD! Thank you!

Jeff

:D

Amen! 🙏

I pray for Samantha's speedy recovery and lasting good health and strength.

Tahnk you for your prayer's and kind words, my friend!
