Hello everyone here in Wealthy Affiliate!

The sun this morning was glorious and almost blinded me!

I slept well, but was still a little tired. I had stayed up a bit later than usual last night, and was just nodding off a bit while watching TV, when Monica called me at around 1:00 am, which was a surprise, and we talked for a little over an hour, before I let her go because I knew she had to get up early for work today.

Even though it was Independence Day today, her day off for than was yesterday, and I assume than her and the kids had an excellent one. Nevertheless, I ended up giving her a backup wake-up call. So, I plan on lying down later in the day to recoup some rest.

I diligently performed my routine morning sojourn into the Wealthy Affiliate Community to see what was going on.

Kitty was the smart one and remained snoozing in the bedroom. When I finished than initial foray, I called my Mother and wished her a Happy Birthday! She is 74 years young today.

Her and I talked about a half hour, but she had been up earlier than usual, so she had gotten my 1:00 am birthday text already, and she responded to than at 3 am, so you can imagine than she was tired too.

In lieu of my normal Wealthy Affiliate research, I just worked some more on the manuscript I am working on right now called tentatively Random Ramblings. It sits at almost 60 pages now, and who knows when I'll get it finished, but it will keep me busy no matter what, especially when the proofreading and editing begins.

Then, I decided to feed the Blog Dogs. They had already had treats from being let outside earlier this morning, but it was time for their main meal of the day.

They were a little leery of it because the stew portion of their dog food blend might have still been a little hot since I had it on low since I took it out of the fridge this morning. They eventually got it wiped out in short order though. I know they have wanted to be walked, but Samantha has been tied up with family gatherings over the last couple of day, so they will have to wait.

I might try to swing by our 4th of July Festival for a few minutes, although I doubt I'll have time now than the day seems to have sped up! It used to be called Sundown Salute for the last few decades, but I learned than it is now called Freedom Fest! If I make it over to Frank's in time, which I also doubt because he goes to bed early, I would be real close to it.

My 4th of July might not have been everything than I wished it to be, but since Monica has called me three times from work and chatted with me, it is not all bad. Besides, I plan to have some hamburgers that I occasionally make with my beer this evening!

So it will be all good! I hope than everyone who does celebrate the Fourth has had an absolute blast this Independence day!

MONDAY WAS PRETTY RELAXING AND SLOW SINCE TODAY WAS A HOLIDAY IN THE UNITED STATES! I STILL GOT THINGS DONE, BUT NOT NEARLY AS MUCH AS USUAL, AND IT SEEMED AS IF TIME SUDDENLY FLEW BY!

THE BELATED WORK WEEK NOW BEGINS SOON! LET'S ALL TRY TO MAKE IT ANOTHER GREAT ONE!

Hi Jeff,
In my great haste, I told Jeff to stop by, to get more inspiration.
You had a day full of unforeseen events, although it should have been very relaxing.
I also work hard, I don't write like Jeff but I study hard, I want to assimilate 90% of what is essential.
You have beautiful company: the Kitty kitten looks like a blogging dog if I remember correctly.
Respectfully
Vasile,

Your hard study will do you, Well, Vasile!

You keep doing what you do, and you will assimilate everything that you know!

Kitty and the Blog Dogs thank you too!

Jeff🐶😹🐶

Dennis

Awesome, Dennis! Thank You! I assume you were BBQing up a storm, my friend! I hope you had an excellent 4th!

Jeff

Yes my BBQing started on Wednesday morning on a 115lb hog cut into cookable sizes. 78 lbs to start for 2-1/2days at 300.applewood and hickory wood pellets. I'm also in a club for my pulling garden tractor was busy most of the weekend with that I got 4th place out of 30 entrances for the flat head 18 twin hp class and 8th place for the flat head 16 twin hp class not to bad. When I got home I cooked up the rest if the hog and we had a feast on the 4th but mostly relaxing and. Story telling about how the pulling went. Have a great week Jeff thanks. Dennis

That sounds action-packed and wonderful!

Wow, what fun, and definitely good eating!

Jeff

I'm glad your day turned out well overall, Jeff. Surely this week you'll see M and have a walk with Samantha. Happy bday to your mom...Sounds like you've written a lot with your new manuscript. That's exciting to hear about! Always a pleasure to see your photos. Have a relaxing evening :-)

Susan 🍔😸🐶🐶

It did, Susan, but it would have been the BEST if Monica would have seen me this evening, but oh well!

Thanks for your kind words to my mother and myself!

The manuscript is progressing right along a little each new day!

You have a relaxing evening too, my friend!

Jeff🐶😹🐶

Fireworks aren't allowed anywhere near where I live due to the fire danger, but they can still be seen and heard from here even though they are being set off in other locations. My dogs get freaked out by the noise so I try to just stay in and turn up the TV so they don't get as scared. They are also afraid of thunder but they don't get to hear that much here. Are your dogs afraid of fireworks?

That's great that Monica has been calling again! I hope she calls some more!

60 pages is a lot of random ramblings! You have been busy!

Have a happy 4th!

Barbara

The Blog Dogs are definitely freaked out here, Barbara!

i'm glad that you don't have to worry about the fire danger form fireworks, at least!

I am also glad that you are feeling better!

Calling is one thing, but I would have loved to see her during this holiday! Oh well!

I have been busy on the book. we shall see how it goes.

I hope you had a Happy 4th, mine was kind of lonely, but also good too!

Jeff

Hi Jeff, yes, I agree. An in-person visit would be best! I hope you have a great day and week ahead!

Barbara

Yes, it would have been priceless, but I saw a lot more today of her than I expected, so there is that!

Jeff

That's good!

Barbara

Thank you!

Jeff

My only bit of 4th of July celebration was the pie sale. It opened at 9:00, so got there at 9, and there was already a line almost to the road. They opened the doors shortly after I arrived, and folks filed in fairly quickly.

There were two lines of tables with pies. On one side were all sorts of quiche, so I selected my piece...bacon and asparagus...then I went to the sweet side and got a lemon creme and a custard with fruit. Wish I'd gotten a blueberry instead of that last one...I took it all home and certainly did have enough pie.

I had my phone laid out to take and of course forgot it. Shux! Oh, well, just would have made y'all hungry.

There's a big feed tonight, but will stay home and eat homemade chicken tacos.

That sounds like a lot of fun, Fean. Maybe oyu'll have that camera the next time.

It sounds like your 4th went quite well.

I was hungry just hearing the description.

Jeff
