Hello everyone here in Wealthy Affiliate!

This is another quick update from yesterday evening!

My motorcycle ride was fun, fruitful, and fantastically decompressing!

I rode and picked up a check, then rode to the bank to deposit it, along with two others.

I then ended up at the shop house where I showered and changed. I rode on a short errand after that, and had just gotten back to the eBay house, and seated myself in the shade to drink a beer when my phone rang.

It was Tommy Williams, a fellow vet and associate of both myself and Frank--a 93 year old WWII / Korean War Vet for those of you who have not met him yet from copious other blog posts of mine that he has been featured in.

Anyhow, he was at Frank's house with a 12-pack of Bud Light Bottles and he and Frank were sitting in the shade, and he invited me over to join them! Since, I had not seen Frank in some time, I thought this was a GREAT idea!

Frank is busy learning a Smart Phone after his old Flip Phone went Kaput! Tommy and I were patiently teaching him!

A great time was definitely had by all! We should always spend time with our seniors! They are gems of wisdom and knowledge that we can all learn about!

At 93 years young, Frank has an excellent memory and we are constantly regaled about his adventures over such an incredible life!

He has been a great friend to me over the 35 years that I have had the pleasure and honor of knowing him!

I've known Tommy for about 15 years, and he has been a GREAT friend too! He owns the building right next to my warehouse complex. He has been over to the eBay house many times for beer and conversation too!

Btw, Cassi, Frank says Hello!

I HOPE THAT EVERYONE HERE HAS AN EXCELLENT FRISATSU'S EVE!

It's great you had such an enjoyable time with your friends, Jeff.
Well done to Frank for tackling the Smartphone. There are many folks a decade or more younger than Frank who don't want to know about technology. They sure don't know what they are missing out on!

I'll catch up on some of your previous posts over the weekend.

Oh wow!! We had a stormy day in my little part of the world, today! It was sad for some folks in this area. I do not know who the family are, but a woman lost her life sheltering under a tree during a storm. The tree fell on her. This happened very near to where I live.

Enjoy your Frisatsu, Jeff.
Valerie🌞

I certainly did have a lot of fun, Valerie! The impromptu visit was a very nice surprise. Yes, Frank is definitely trying to get things going there. I think he called me 2-3 yesterday "practicing".

I hope you have been doing well, my friend.

I'm sorry to hear about the storm and someone losing their life in it! Every day is precious, as we never know which one will be our last. We can never take life for granted.

I hope you are having an excellent Frisatsu, so far!

Jeff🌞

Great to spend time with friends, especially seniors... oh, I guess I am one, but got a bit to go for 93 years young!

That's a hoot that he finally ditched his flip phone! It lasted him quite a while. Simpler times...

Doesn't seem like that long ago I had to use pay phones!

Life sure is interesting, isn't it?

Keep doing good things Jeff!

And of course keep on thriving!

Al

It certainly is, Al! I need to to do it more often!

I didn't think he would ever get rid of that phone.

I remember them well too. In fact I have a 1975 Rotary Dial Payphone in my collection. I also have a replica 1950s pay phone radio too!

Life is definitely interesting, Al!

I'll keep doing the best that I can, my friend.

You keep thriving too, my friend!

Jeff🌞

I've met a few vets who've been in either WWII or Korea - but not BOTH, Jeff. By any chance, do you know if Frank earned any medals?

Looks like you had a good relaxing conversation with your work crew.

Hope you're ready for Frisatsu! 😎🐶🐱🐶

Isaiah 😊

I saw his records one day when he showed them to me, Isaiah, but I didn't notice anything! He was in WWII in mid 1945 in Japan transporting Japanese POWs. Then he stayed in and served in Korea!

I had a wonderful conversation for sure!🐶😹🐶😎

I'm ready for Frisatsu! I hope that you are, as well, my friend!

Jeff🌞

Great to hear an update on Frank. Sounds like he is doing well and getting to grips with the new phone.

I always appreciate times spent with older generations we have so much to learn from them.

Much of my early working life was with the elderly and I treasure those days and memories even now.

Hope you can get together with Frank and Tommy again very soon.

Tracy

He certainly is, Tracy! He's even called me three times today, so he might be getting the hang of at least the basics for now.

We do have a lot to learn from them, and though I have been a bit remiss of late, I need to spend more time with him too. They won't be around forever and than the person we loved is lost and all that knowledge and wisdom lost right along with them.

I'm glad you worked with the elderly early on, and I know exactly how rewarding that must have been!

We are tentatively planning something around Memorial day!

Jeff

Awesome that's great news. Memorial Day get together is a nice idea too.

Happy Frisatsu 😊

Tracy

Thanks, Tracy! I hope it pans out! I'm sure we will try to get together regardless!

Happy Frisatsu! 🌞

Jeff

Jeff,

Just reading your stories and detailed account of your outing was very refreshing. As I read and see the pics you posted especially off Frank who is 93 years young I am inspired. He is 93 and in really good condition. At least looking at the pictures. .

I enjoyed this post. Thanks.

Andrew

He is in remarkable good shape and spirits for his age, Andrew!

He does have hearing loss and has trouble seeing, but his mind is sharp as a tack! He's been a Great friend for over three decades!

I'm glad you like the post, my friend! I might have to eventually locate and compile all the posts here that I've written about him into an eBook!

I hope you've been having an excellent week!

Jeff

an excellent week so far. Thanks.

Andrew

You're welcome, Andrew, and I'm glad to hear it!

Jeff
