Answering WA Emails, Locksmith Work, and the Prodigal Refrigerator!
I had one house to rekey which earned me a cool $100 on a day that was looking like it might be slow, despite the weather being sunny and 75 degrees!
Today was the day Monica and I planned to pick up our prodigal refrigerator! Here is a quick history of this errant appliance.
In a post over a month ago, I talked about an evening refrigerator errand. Mostly, it was a success, but at the last minute, we had to jump through some hoops so to speak with the credit card company over the phone.
Long story short they would not offer us the special financing offered because they claimed the tax on the refrigerator purchase did not count as part of the purchase! We were forced to quickly purchase some other items to make up the difference.
The refrigerator was a special order and we were to get it on March 10th. That day came and went, and when Monica called the store, they claimed the order had been canceled the day after our evening transaction (Feb 25) by the appliance manufacturer!
There was no notice whatsoever telling us about this and her credit card had been charged. She immediately had them reorder it, and today--finally--we picked it up!
It's on the thinking deck! We'll carry it inside the house tomorrow!
This simply shows that perseverance and patience pays off! This is a lot like what we experience here occasionally as we work to build our online affiliate marketing businesses!
As you all are probably painfully aware of, things do not always go smoothly with our online businesses--in fact, it takes some time along with a lot of hard work, before we can even start showing income. (there are some exceptions to this rule, though not many).
We could throw in the towel and go after the next shiny object--which many members will attest that they have done before--myself included. OR, we can keep our eye on the prize!
We can follow the excellent training offered here in Wealthy Affiliate, ask the right questions, do the appropriate research, write the relevant content, make the right adjustments, and settle in for the long haul to our ultimate goal--Success!
Monica and I stayed the course and got the refrigerator despite myriad setbacks.

Jeff I certainly do remember that ride you took to look over refrigerator, I am so glad to hear you got yours, now you can stock up on food. What a great Yoda you make of course the monkey was cool, you are an amazing guy and what a nice comparison between your determination for the refrigerator and WA it works out very well together. I am only surprised that in the top picture you didn't have the blog dogs strapped to that fridge as if they were hauling it home.

Ha ha, Joe--how do you think we got it up there? Are you suggesting that I work the blog dogs like.....DOGS! They just stayed out of the way while we unloaded everything.

For sure! I completely agree with you! The main point is to try which is already better than some people.
I'm glad you finally got your refrigerator; it's frustrating when things don't go as planned.
I do like the way you connected this experience to our affiliate marketing business. You have to be persistent at times, but if you don't give up, you will succeed. 😀

I have to admit there are some situations where it pays to persevere and others where I would easily have thrown in the towel - dealing with a credit card company is one of those!
If I ever need to haggle with a credit card company I now know who to call for advice or assistance!!!
