In Level 1; Lesson 4 - Building Your Website, it refers to 'Site Health', apparently important to Google for ranking.
What exactly is 'Site Health'?

Site health increases by 10% each month on its own as it ages from what I understand!

Jeff

It's just the state of your website and is just there so u understand what your site's technical parameters look like.
Wealthy Affiliate hosting pretty much looks after your site's health, on its own.

The number in the red oval on the notification 'bell' on the header bar keeps increasing and even though I refresh the page I never see any new notifications. what am I doing w

Bug in the system being worked on!

That bell is a pain. Later u will realize it doesn't seem to give u any worthwhile statistics. So let it be. The present problem is a bug.

You are doing nothing wrong it is a bug that still needs to be fixed since the new interface that is all. So don't worry about it. Might be a bit of a pain but Wa are working on it along with many other bits and pieces

Thank you for your prompt reply.
While I have you here, what sort of success have you achieved since being with WA? I'm asking because I'm considering cancelling my membership.

The successes are many no I am not a super affiliate but I do earn not just via WA but with other affiliate programs as well.

Everyone is different some also do this part-time full time or whenever that can.

The main thing is to go through all the training in the order given apply what is taught and keep going forward.

Remember this is a training platform that will teach you how to do the right things online but it is up to you to apply what is given and start to believe in yourself.

Don't' think about money think about your readers who come to your website as you are writing for them.
The rest will follow and you need to have patience.

There are too many of these so-called wannabe gurus you say otherwise but they are just adding your hard-earned money into their pockets with nothing really to offer.

Here you learn the right way and affiliate marketing is never a quick money-making way they really don't exist despite what these trickest will tell you.

So, if I understand you correctly, I'm not trying to build a profitable business to earn an online income so I can stop driving trucks the rest of my life. I'm here to become another Steinbeck or Hemingway simply for other peoples' reading enjoyment.
That's not what I was led to believe before I subscribed. I thought I was going to learn how to make money with my computer. WTF?
Yes. I'm extremely frustrated and overwhelmed.

That's great that you want to be another Steinbeck or Heminway kudos to you and I wish you well on that.

Some are here for the money, some to make a bit on the side, some want this to be their business for life and there are some like you that want to give to their readers their part in life that can and will help them along their journey.

WA teaches you how to build a solid foundation to your website. You can promote WA if you wish or join affiliate programs that relate to your niche.

But as far as WTF with you being frustrated and overwhelmed what is needed first which I see you haven't done is go through the training as you haven't finished the first level.

That is important regardless if you are wanting to just blog and write to the readers or want to earn money on the side or fulltime

i wish you well in all you do.

No you are here to build a business, but this takes time and work, as any worthwhile business does. Check this out if you haven't already! Jeff

Since I cancelled my premium membership can I still continue the training as a free member?

In the training, it says that as a free member I get one domain name under '.siterubix.com' and as a premium member I have the ability to build and 'own' 10 websites. Are there any additional financial charges for hosting, etc., or does the $49.00 premium membership fee cover all that?

No, Jeff, unfortunately, we can never go back to starter. You might want to make sure you have made preparations to move your site as well. There will be others who can give you more information!

Jeff

Hi, it is a bug that has been reported an awaiting resolution. Management is aware.

Thank you for your prompt reply.

If I'm going to have a website offering products for sale and most companies offering an affiliate program won't 'approve' my application unless I have a website, what am I sup

Hi - the first post on your website should be purely informational with no selling intent and not a discussion of particular products. For example, if your niche subject was a dog's sleeping problems, then you could write about the following topics.

Do dogs really sleep at night?

How long does a dog sleep in 24 hours?

Why does my dog sleep so much?

What can you give a dog to help it sleep?

Should your dog be in your bedroom?

Once you have been approved by an affiliate program, when they see that you have articles that will attract traffic, then you can start promoting products relating to the subject such as dog beds.

Yes, Jeff. Develop your niche--what you're passionate about and start writing! Love the profile picture!

Jeff

The basic website that Wealthy Affiliate is trying to get u to build, is a blogging site.
Not a eCommerce one, where u have products to sell.
But u can take your website in any direction u want, of course.

If u were to be doing what WA is teaching, then u would first do 40-50 posts on your blogging site. And insert affiliate links in them. and hope for organic traffic to come to your site.

If u want to build a store, then Shopify is a easier and better solution. And u can go for paid ads on fb or insta, to get u traffic.

Please understand the concept here ..

Please follow the training and apply what is taught all is explained within the lessons. How to make money by Kyle
