There Is No Such Thing As The Wrong Niche-STOP Double Guessing Yourself

Last Update: April 08, 2021

I have been noticing members of the family are double-guessing their niche, you must STOP double-guessing yourself. How long have you been in business, you must accept it takes time to start experiencing success?

There Is No Such Thing As The Wrong Niche

You can experience success no matter what niche you are promoting, please listen to me and stick to your niche you have chosen. I have a true story to share with you, and you can tell me what you think if you desire to.

Read My True Story

There once was a guy who kept jumping from niche to niche, and he did this for almost two years. He was not making any money, so he kept thinking he was promoting the wrong niche. After two years he was about to just give up, but something inside of him would not allow him to.

This Person Had 6 Websites

Instead of deleting websites he just kept adding one more, and before he knew it he had 6 of them. Now he could not write for all of these websites, so he had to give some of them up. It just so happens he decided to keep his original business, so he left the rest go.

Finally Success

Once he focused all of his time on his original niche, he started to see more success. This didn't happen overnight, this had taken him over a year. The niche that eventually started bringing income in was the niche he knew the less about, but once he put all his time into this one niche, he learned so much about it the search engines finally recognized him.

All Niches Are Profitable

Once you learn how you can earn a profit from any niche, so some do take longer to be seen as an authority. This person was in the most challenging niche of them all, he was trying to compete with the big boys. The money niche does take up to a year for some to succeed, but no matter what you are promoting stick to your guns.

Jumping From Niche To Niche

When you keep changing niches, you might as well say you are starting all over. That actually costs you to experience success, I know this for a fact because that person was me when I started in this business.

How Does Other Members Success Effect You?

The members who are experiencing success are sharing to motivate you, but for some people, this can actually have the opposite reaction. When I was new myself this at times got me thinking about what am I doing wrong, but actually, I was doing everything right. I found myself double-guessing everything I was doing, I kept changing niches and strategies.

Your First Year Is The Hardest

It will take everything you have to get through your first year, you might get lucky and get some sales now and then. Learning to have faith in Wealthy Affiliate's training is a must, you will need to work your butt off to self-motivate yourself.

What Can You Do?

Avoid burning yourself out writing too much at the beginner, you might even find writing less will be better? Put your time in the training on Wealthy Affiliate to learn, comment on site comments and pay attention to how the more experienced members are doing it. Take breaks when you are feeling blue, focus on helping your readers instead of you.

You can do this, you just have to have faith in yourself

Thanks Jeff, you make lotsa sense. I am also doubting my first pick thinking it will take me a very long time before I see any money. My site will deal with tourism and there is already a lot of big guns in this business, and COVID has knocked the wind out of the sales for this to be successful any time soon. I am almost discouraged by this but COVID will be overcome in the near future and people will want to travel again. I should have a good website by then. It is very time consuming as I need to spend months on research and collecting useful data to help people make good decisions on their travel. Reading your experience has been a big encouragement. Many thanks!

Thank you,
I am sure the travel niche is going to start improving very soon, and you can't go wrong with that niche for earning a nice income.

Many niches that provide nice incomes do take longer to become established, and that is because you have so much competition

You can always start another website, but I would not give up on your travel niche if I was you

Hi Jeff, I think I have solved my niche problem. Because of COVID, people will not be interested in tourism for a while here. I have lived in a tropical country for 28 years and have expertise on how to cope with tropical heat and how to travel, hike and camp here without too much discomfort. Yesterday I signed up as an affiliate with Amazon and will promote products that makes life easier for people, especially foreigners, to cope in tropical countries. The target audience is huge, there are millions of foreigners in them, and local populations would also be interested I'm sure. I speak the local language as eventually I can have 2 languages on my site. Will link with other affiliates soon, do you have a recommendation? Thank for your support! Ted

Sounds like a great plan to me, you can use Google translate to be able to converse with even more languages if you wish to.

Keep me up on how it is going, I am excited you started your own niche

You said it right, Jeff. About a year and half ago, I started a second site - in the MMO niche - at a time when I thought there was no way I could make money from my original niche.

However, I just stuck with the original one and today, I hardly have time for the MMO site because I have discovered previously unimaginable ways of monetising my first site after learning a whole lot from other members here. I therefore totally agree with you. There's indeed nothing like a wrong niche!

Amen, Jeff! What you say is so true.
When I first joined WA, I thought I had to choose "the perfect niche". But I've learned ANY niche is RIGHT if you put time, energy and effort into creating a your own business.

I understand too well how it is difficult to keep faith in your niche, and seeing other members post their doubts I wanted them to know that is natural but stick to what you love the most

Happ this helped you,
Jeff
