I’ve been elected to the Board of the Performance Marketing Association

I am very proud to announce that I was elected to a seat on the Board of Directors of the Performance Marketing Association. My term runs from January, 2021 – December, 2022.
The Performance Marketing Association, PMA for short, is a non-profit trade association that was founded in 2008. As the trade association focusing on performance marketing, the goals are:
- To promote the growth of the industry
- Help model standards and best-practices for the industry
- Advocate on behalf of the businesses that comprise the performance marketing industry.
To accomplish these goals, the PMA offers a variety of activities, such as numerous webinars, papers and blog posts on industry developments and best practices. I’ve personally served on both the Compliance Council and the Affiliate Council which are focused exclusively on guiding and promoting those aspects of the performance marketing industry.
The activities go much deeper too – the PMA played a significant role in helping affiliates through the whole affiliate nexus tax fight for many years, until the Supreme Court decision resolved most of the issue. Currently they’ve submitted comments on the new Federal Trade Commission Compliance guidelines, which rules disclosure practices.
Literally all of the top affiliate networks, plus many agencies and individuals have a membership at the PMA. Before I joined Awin.com, I had a personal membership because I felt it was important to support this key industry organization.
Now, as a member of the PMA Board, I look forward to continuing my service to the affiliate marketing industry through this new, even more visible role. If I can answer any questions about the PMA, please let me know.
Before you shared this blog post, I have no idea that the PMA existed it what it is about.
So, I checked out their website and discovered a whole new world.
For those of us who are serious about our business, being a member will definitely be an advantage.
A great share, Jeannine!
Congratulations on your appointment.
It is certainly well-deserved.
I truly value your contributions and support.
