Are You Ready for Black Friday (for sites not promoting WA)?

If you’ve got a blog on any other subject than WA, you could have a very exciting weekend!

Black Friday/Cyber Monday 2021 is different than previous years due to a number of reasons – supply chain concerns, inflation, and a troubled economy all are issues. Advertisers feel like there are a few more challenges this year, such as running out of product or not being able to guarantee shipping times. As a result, advertisers have modified how they are conducting their sales this year and the beneficiaries are consumers and affiliates!

Starting Black Friday Sales Early – many advertisers have already begun their Black Friday promotions in one way or another. This includes a full range of promotions, from some items already at BF prices to special shop early benefits like free or reduced shipping or amazing discounts. Some are already offering Black Friday pricing on their big ad catalog, encouraging people to shop now instead of waiting for Thursday or Friday. They also know that there may be fewer dollars designated for holiday gifts this year, so if promotions start earlier, the advertiser stands a better chance of ensuring their share of those gift dollars.

Advanced Deal Announcements – Unlike previous years, Advertisers are already shouting their planned Black Friday deals from the rooftops instead of waiting until Thanksgiving at midnight. They are encouraging their affiliates to start promoting these sales now, so that their reader base is primed to buy as soon as the deal is live.

Longer Sales Times – Instead of special pricing only on Black Friday, most advertisers are now offering those special deals through Saturday or even through Cyber Monday. It’s not a one day sale which may or may not fit the consumer’s shopping schedule. Advertisers again are more focused on getting their share of shopping dollars than restricting their special pricing offer.

Bonus Affiliate Commissions – Advertisers are competing for the attention of their affiliate base by offering increased commission rates, special bonuses and all sorts of other compensation tactics to encourage as much attention as possible to that advertiser’s program. Affiliates with a loyal base of readers who are ready to shop can earn a fortune this week!

So what’s a blogger to do?

Write about all of these great offers for your readers! Capitalize on everything that’s offered to you. Read all of the emails from each of your advertisers to glean the best opportunities, then share them all with your readers.
