Learning how to write a review
Well then. In doing my research I found some pretty cool approaches to presenting the facts. I was once told by an English teacher that I had a lot of "voice" in my writing. Sometimes it's a good thing, and sometimes it's off-putting.
Regardless- I love writing content out the way I would talk it out, and that's what I'm gonna stick with... minus any expletives that I may pepper into a conversation with friends.
Does anyone else write it as they would speak it, or do you prefer to be all professional and "text book" in your writing?

Thank you all for sharing! As I progress through the training here and revisit my site, I can see so much development and growing since I've started here. It's pretty cool! Kinda like being in school again, and seeing the skills learned actually going to good use!
I had my website looked at by Eddy Salomon here at WA, he gave me some great advice. I needed to use more of my personality in my website. I believe you're going in the right direction.
If you see this as a serious business, I would advise you to stick to standard English. This would give more character to your work and would appeal to people in all walks of life.
I try to be natural but at the same time pro, not really how I speak because only speak Spanish at home and I haven't made a website in Spanish yet. Besides I normally speak in slangguage. Haha
I write like a speak too! :) I would consider that a good thing if you want to engage your readers. It is more natural, humorous at times and has personality. Professional has it's place, but anyone can do that. If you want to stand out, you have to be you in everything you do!
I like to see a blend of writing that sounds like you are talking/speaking with elements of professional speech. Anything textbook is easy to understand if written conversationally - but it still needs to make you sound smart and qualified to talk about your chosen topic :)

I like it when people know what they're talking about. Credibility goes a long way. It's cool when people are being real online too and not trying to be something they're not. Natural is best.
