Discouraged!

I know I've only just began, but I look at my website against others websites and can't help but feel like mine is lacking something and I can't put my finger on it. It makes me feel discouraged. Has anyone else had this problem?

I may just have some more learning to do within the lessons, and then maybe things will start to come together better. Or it could be that I don't have any affiliate links on my posts yet, so i'm just writing and not knowing where to go next with it.

This is all so new, that I can't help but feel as though I am doing something wrong. I don't know if others feel this way also, but I just thought i'd put it out there.

I'm hoping this feeling will pass, and I will keep going along with my training and building my content.

Hi Jeannette, try not to get too concerned, you aspire to become an author great goal and you are in the right place to learn the skills to create an online income that will enable you to live your goals.

The whole, create a website gig is a craft that needs to be learned, and from observation, it is a never-ending process as you go along
your skill set will grow along with your website.

We all go through that not worthy stage it is a natural process, at some point knowledge skills and belief ( in our selves ) will all intersect and the three roads become one.

I see that you became a premium member on the 2/12/19 it is only the 2/16/19, just keep following the training applying what you learn and building and growing your website.

It is step by step and if you follow along you will surprise your self.

Best wishes.

Alex

Thanks so much Alex. Your words are truly appreciated.

Sometimes it can be about building that self-confidence and one of the keys can be to claim your future before you create it.

Back your self and you will succeed.

Hi, Jeanette, don't feel desperate, it's just the beginning of your journey, you're going to learn by mistakes that we all do when starting out the training, be sure to follow all the step by step training, ask someone have a look at your website to guide you, you have the choices of all the expert here in this platform, go to live chat, talk, ask, get response, you're not alone.
Jacqueline

Thank you Jaqueline. As I mentioned in my first blog, i'm a bit of a skeptic, but I have so many people telling me the same thing. I am grateful and I will me patient.

Hi,
Every single website I build I feel it's lacking something. Especially my first and that had major discrepancies yet it earned me money.

I still feel the same now 2 years later.

Now I can take a theme just one and build different sites yet turn them into something so different. I think thats pretty amazing.

I was a complete newbie in the beginning too. I still look at my sites and feel like they miss something. Maybe thats just us and the way we roll.

Whatever you do please do not give up. Then everything is pointless otherwise.

If you need help shout out. We can help you.

Hope that helps a little.
Debs :)

Thanks Debs, i'm glad to know i'm not the only one that went through this process. I'm going to continue my training and ask for advice.

You're not alone, I've also felt this way in the past. I think the biggest barrier to me doing well in the past has been self confidence, and belief in myself that I can actually do this.
However, if you can just keep going, follow the training exactly to the letter, things will get better.
As your skills grow as you work through the training, you'll get a better feel for how you like to work, and what that means for your site. This will massively help your confidence I think.
Remember, your site has something none of those other sites you're comparing yourself to: they don't have YOU. Write as yourself, your audience wants to trust YOU. And your site will be amazing.

Thank you Emily. You sound like my professor. Self confidence is a major lack in my genetic code. lol. I struggle in that aspect, but I will stick with it, and everyone is so encouraging. I don't think i've ever been anywhere where people have been this helpful and willing to dedicate so much time to each other. It's a comfort to know that I have so many people on my side.

You're welcome. It's so great to have the community here, you're never alone or stuck. Good luck with your site!

It will definitely develop over time and as you go through the training. I think of it as a living/breathing site and requires updates and changes - so don't fret, continue the training and it will all come together. Don't get discouraged, there is so much to learn. If you really like something on a particular site you could private message that person and see if they would give you some tips on what they did to create that etc.

Wishing you all the best!
~Beth

Thank you Beth!

There is no such thing as a perfect website. There will always be room to improve and build. The trick is to keep building :)

Thank you!!! that is true.

Do not be discouraged, I know easier said then done, but is because it isa ll knew to you, and it can be a little intimidating. Like Kyle says, as long as you talk to your audience, like they are you friends, or family and keep it real, so people can relate, it will just fall into place. Don't compare your web-site to others, as we all differ. Just stay true to what your passion is, and just focus on what your web-site is about. I mean take whatever, little pieces of input you can, to help guide you, but then leave the rest. Just take your time, and love what you are doing, and you will rock this. All the best, and much success Corinne

thank you so much for your encouraging words. it's a long road to travel but I will see the end at some point.

You're your own worst critic ... your website is probably better than your assessment of it.

Why not request feedback from other WA members, and see if some of the suggestions make sense for you?

thank you. It is true in every aspect of my life.

Don't get discouraged. It was the same for me when I first started and I am sure others can the same. It's always hard at the beginning. The more you learn, the easier it gets. Keep working on your site and eventually everything will begin to fall in place.

thanks for your encouragement.

Yes, this too will pass. But since you are Premium, I highly recommend that you catch Jay's Live Event in a few minutes where you can ask your question at the end of the presentation.
