Walk in the Woods
Come for a walk in the woods with me,
For springtime in the woods, you see,
Is a peaceful, relaxing place to be;
So walk with me beneath the trees.
Pine needles and moss form carpet green.
Fallen trees and branches on other trees lean.
The blossoms are dancing on the honeysuckle tree
To the music played by the flowing stream.
What majesty the forest unfolds.
Such beauty there we do behold.
A pop of color blooms so bold;
Amidst the dry brown, green and gold.
We stopped to rest in the forest glade.
And perched on a log in the springtime shade.
A squirrel scrambled by on his merry nut raid;
Startling us by the rustle he made.
It's peaceful and calm by the side of the stream.
And the sound of the flow sparks me to dream;
Of another time and a place serene.
I can almost touch Heaven, to me it seems.
But the time has come for us to start home.
Let's walk on the carpet of leaves and pine cones;
And follow the path out, that we came in on.

Yes Mike. All thanks to the link you gave me. I typed the whole thing over in Rapid Writer so if I lost part of it, I could copy and paste; but thanks to that lovely resizing site, I didn't have that problem; and all went smoothly. Thanks again. But what are we still doing up at one in the morning? :)
I have tried not to be; but I have such trouble stopping in the middle of things. And I'm a little too determined to break through when I'm having trouble with something. Lol.
