It starts with a thought
Everything that ever happens in life begins with a thought. Whether it's good or bad all of it began with a singular thought. I'm going to share with you my morning routine.
1. Wake up
2. Express my gratitude. (For the ability to rest and to wake) as simple as it seems not everyone is always lucky enough to experience these simplicities every day.
3. Start a positive thought cycle. Today will provide many great opportunities to learn something new. I have overcome every obstacle thus far and therefore I see no reason I can not over come any obstacle I've got left to face.
4. I allow my thoughts to become actions. Spreading a smile, giving a hug, giving advice or time. Positive actions generate positive feelings.
5. I allow my positive actions to become positive habits.
Thoughts become action, action becomes habit, and habit becomes character. You control the beginning, middle, and end of your daily events.
Things are out of our control that fact is true. How we act and react despite things being out of our control will define us. Since it all begins with a thought it's important that you give your mind the best start to have positive thoughts first thing in the morning and through out the rest of the day.
I've found our most positive thoughts are generated through gratitude.
Keep positive and stay smiling you've got this.

Gratitude is powerful yet often overlooked. The Beasties even wrote a song about it.
Even if your only breakfast is a slice of bread, be thankful. Some have no slice.
Exactly Jon. Thank you so much for the being the kind of person that encourages the desire to express gratitude even in the most frustrating moments.
Fantastic post, Jennifer! In fact, I read over five times to make sure it soaked in my brain. Also, you have a beautiful way of expressing your thoughts!
Have a great weekend,
Steve
Thank you so much Steve. I always love hearing from you. You're such a positive influence in my life.
Likewise, Jennifer, I learn from everything you post, and it provides me with ideas, encouragement, enlightenment, excitement and passion. You are a positive influence on the WA community and anyone who reads your writing. I think you are already a success; it is just a matter of time until you reach the top of the mountain. But there is absolutely no doubt in mind that you are getting VERY close!
And I must not forget to thank you for your friendship and kind words. A note from you always makes my day brighter.
Hope you have a wonderful weekend.
All the best,
Steve
Thanks very much.
BTW Your website is marvelous. This information should be so VERY helpful to people who are going thru what you have experienced. We have a 15-year-old grandson who is ADHD and OCD. He is on dozens of medications (and I hate that) plus seeing a therapist every two weeks. I believe our son and daughter -in-law are doing their absolute best to improve his life, but it is a day to day challenge. Their medical bills for his medication and therapy are several thousand dollars a month. We help as much as we can by giving them both financial and parental support. People who have never experienced these issues or who do not know anyone close who has are indeed very fortunate.
Thanks Jennifer for the tremendous service your website is providing to people in need!

Yes, Jennifer, I think gratitude is the most exquisite and powerful approach of them all.
It literally makes every human being attractive to all living things......
