The purpose of you site is to pre-sell the products of the company you are an affiliate for.
You use your site to introduce people to the companies website via your affiliate link.
On the affiliate site they should have product pick the one you wont the if gives you option after that get the link and on your page change it to text and put the text link on your page then go back to visible and you should see your product there

Most affiliates just point the customers to the affiliates site and the product is bought, paid for and shipped from their site, not yours.
You could run a review tab on your menu and post your reviews there.

You should be able to go to the sites you are an affiliate for and they should have links for their products. Let me know if that helps you any.

I like the Genesis framework. It's very sleek and simple. It's 50 bucks but well worth it in my opinion.
As Carla mentions, any theme is fine; it just depends on how you customize it.
Just make sure that your content is easy to read and your site does not look too cluttered.
I always believe less is more when it comes to design...

There are a ton of ways to do this depending on what your requirements are.

Oh I am sorry. I see where you already have them, on your page. I am not sure how to do that but it may be something to do with appearance and editor. Sorry.
I am not sure if it does the same as Kens' suggestion but when you go to your add media section it gives you the option to use a thumbnail. Choose your media from Library or Browse.
Under Attachment Details your image is there and you can choose "edit image" and it gives you options to change size or on the right you can choose thumbnail.

Placing a Category in the Menu will allow you to display the blog posts for that specific category.
