It's Been One of Those Days
it's been one of those days. I got up at 6am and rushed through the morning with the dog and the child, getting her to daycare and me to work almost on time. Grabbing food to eat on the way out the door and tea at a drive thru to propel me through the day.
Its my busy time at work but they've been lightening my workload in expectation of me leaving so I didn't expect it to be too bad. And it wasn't, it was almost peaceful. Right up until an hour before it was time to go home.
That's when I start hearing that there are some concerns about some of the stuff I transitioned off. That my boss isn't sure it's right and isn't sure it'll be done in time to hit deadline and now wants me to get back up to speed and re-involved.
So I leave at my normal time, since I have to get my daughter from daycare, and we have supper and play time and bath time and more play time since she's clearly doing everything she can to delay bedtime. But as soon as she's tucked in, I log back online.
It's great to be able to work from home. But it's also not great since sometimes the day never ends. I had to call my boss long distance on my personal cell phone, for a conversation that took almost an hour, because it was just too complicated to do by messenger. I worked until 10pm and then made the executive decision that I was done for the night and anything else can wait until the morning.
So it's been a long day, a tiring day, a day I'm looking forward to having be over. But here I am. Because WA is what keeps me going. The ability to break free of other people's schedules, deadlines and poor planning. The ability to be able to work when I want and not feel like like I'm constantly being distracted from time with my angel by having to rush around to meet demands of a corporate world. WA has shown me the way out. It's given me the tools, knowledge and support to be able to lead a better, more balanced life.
So instead of sleeping, I'm on here. Putting in the short term pain even when I'm worn out, because I know that the long term gain will be more than worth it.
There are parts of my day job that I do really love. But I simply cannot get the lifestyle and freedom that I want while working for someone else, no matter how high I move up or how much they pay me.
WA will give me the ability to work according to my daughter's schedule rather than me having to force her to conform to my work schedule. That's worth more than the money to me. That's what my goal is and the bright light at the end of the tunnel that I won't quit working towards.

It's all about the "WHY". My wife and I can totally relate. Keep going it will be worth it. Soon you will be able to work when you want from where ever you want. Lets do this!

I know how hard it is! I'm learning that! EVERYONE seems to know how to use Instagram, and not just posting pictures, but for business, and I can't figure it out at all! I almost smashed my phone yesterday over stupid Instagram..lol..Didn't realize I had a temper like that...realized I needed to stop and take a break and work on something else on WA..darn Instagram...lol
I don't use instagram for business, it's the one social media I chose to keep for personal use only. I do really like it though. You'll get the hang of it! If there's something specific you're struggling with, let me know and maybe I can help :)
Thanks..I don't know how to share quotes to just everyone, not just specific people, but I click on the quote and it gives me choices who to send it to..lol..Maybe there's a tutorial here that is simple to understand..it makes me feel dumb, when everyone else uses it like nothing..lol..I eventually want to use it for business, as I heard a lot of people get referrals through Instagram :)
I did notice it was not one of the social media apps covered in the lessons and I requested an update. I wonder if Kyle will add a tutorial...
If you type "instagram" into the search bar up top it does seem like there are lots of training posts on here. Hopefully one of them will help. I don't share quotes so I'm not sure how either.

It's awesome that you see the big picture, even after an exhausting day like that. My day was exhausting for different reasons, but I still feel your pain. My kids aren't in bed yet, so I have just begun gearing my mind toward working WA tonight. I'm tired and, like you, would love to go to sleep. But something inside me is driving me to push forward here instead. Dreams coming true takes time, persistence, and focus.

It's nice to know you understand.
Even if I tried to go to sleep, my mind would be wide awake, thinking about WA and the course tasks I have in front of me. The drive is definitely there to keep going.
And I really believe that because we have that drive we're both going to do amazing things here! :)
I often am super tired, but can't sleep because I know that I didn't work on WA yet.
I sometimes wake up in the middle of the night or morning thinking about things I can do for my blogs. I need to keep a running journal of those ideas. Might help me to remember them all.
