When I tried to sign up for Amazon and I put my website was about childrens clothing it said I can't advertise on a site for children under 13. But my site is more for parents.
Another thought is if they have children's cloths they are breaking their own terms unless they admit that they don't target kids under 13.
One of the things you have to agree to is as an Amazon affiliate is to not target children under 13 years old. I would try to find a way to communicate with them that you intend to market adults and that you would comply with their" terms of agreement." They should know that kids don't buy their own clothes.
I am not sure how you would go about it but I would try asking in their Associates forum. They do have a chat service although I have not used it.
Marty
Yes that was what I was thinking...especially because I have reviewed other sites that offer childrens products from Amazon so I figured it should be okay. Thanks for the advice!
I think you better follow their rules...
But I am not an amazon affiliate, but I can imagine when you loose that membership that it is not good?

Does amazon allow their ads on sites gearing towards kids?

It doesn't make sense to me. Have you emailed their Support team? Amazon also offers Live Chat for Associates and I recommend approaching them through the Chat service. At least using that method you can expect a detailed explanation.
All the best.

So my website only has a few reviews. My niche isn't really going to be product reviews, it is going to be more blogging, helpful information, and discussions. So in those blog
Here's a great post from nathaniel - it will give you a bunch of ideas other then just reviews Do You Have To Be A Scam Review Site?
You post doesn't really have to be reviewing product. Let say you make a post about taking your baby out. You mainly write about her activities and how she enjoy it. But within the post you also insert, let say the dress or shoes she wore, insert the pictures. You can say how cute she look and how comfortable it's for her to wear. Then put an affiliate link.
Many people doing product review and make a good money with it because people who are looking for review are normally ready to make a purchase.
But even when you're not doing product review, as long as you can connect to your visitor and they love your post it could lead to conversion as well.
Of course not...
Example: Write a small e-book with funny stories you had with your baby... And just offer it for $1 or $1.5 and you can be surprised how much money you can earn with that...
Grtz,
Bert
You write a document (word and you print this as a PDF, then you add this on Amazon and from your site your offerering it with an affiliate link...
Or you add a paypal button on your site and they buy it directly there...

I am using ones from Jaaxy and the WA keyword tool but I feel like mine might be too broad. Like one of my keywords is "cute baby girl clothes" It had good QSR in Jaaxy but whe
I tend to mix mine with some broad ones and some unique phrases I do not get too hung up on it, if your promoting a particular brand you could always build a post around that especially if it is a good seller
Okay thanks. How do you start getting higher up in the ranks of google? I think that may be what I am not understanding.
It is about quality content and good keywords, do not have too many affiliate links promoting products no more than 3 per page
I never look for the competition on google because it tends to confuse me. What I do really (and it has led to several of my posts and pages to be on the first page of google) is I find a keyword with some searches (not necessarily tons) but as little competition as possible. I write my content, make is as unique and useful as possible and share it on here, on social media... and let google do the rest! =)
Cheers

My niche has a lot of facebook groups so when is the best time to post it? When my website has a lot of content on it?
These are great. I was wondering the same question. I was planning on waiting until I had a little more content
Yes I am going to wait a little bit longer myself just because I don't have a lot of content yet either but Facebook will be great for traffic!
I have been sharing my posts to Facebook as I write them. Its apart of the process for me. Publish post and then share on social media.

My website is about baby girl clothing- I am making a section all on different clothing items and on putting outfits together. How am I going to be able to show this in picture
See Bert has given you some advice however if your promoting and selling any particular brand as you could use their images and add some or your own to
Hello,
You type in Google baby girl clothing, you select images and then you will see lots of pictures...
If there are some clothing without seeing the brand, you can take a print screen of this and use it for sure....
(Snipping Tool is on your computer when you have windows and from version 7)
I just checked it an there are tons of usable pictures without a brand on....
Grtz,
Bert
Oh okay awesome..I didn't think you could just take from google because of copyright but thanks this solves my problem!
Yes, when you take a print screen you can use all pictures...
But of course: Be smart and don't take a print screen of a picture where you copyright on or indeed like you say when there is a brand mentioned in huge letters, I would also not do it...
But for the rest: just take a print screen and you can use it...
Grtz,
Bert
Great thanks. And by print screen you mean a screen shot? I am not sure how to do that of a single image. I have taken screen shots on my computer before but I am not sure what a print screen is.
Yes indeed, but preferably use a tool like "snipping tool" it is very simple to use and you can immediate take a copy of the section on the screen that you need...
This is included in windows by default from windows 7....

Bert
