I have been reported to the TPS!
I could have really done without this today as I've been in bed sick all day. But when it rains it pours.
A few months back I posted a question about a spam accusation that I had received.

Anyway, tjhis situation has escalated. I received an email from a UK company today called TPS.
This guy that was responsible for the original comments on my website and the email he sent me has reported me. He's accused me of passing his details onto a PPI company (Payment Protection Insurance) that are now constantly phoning him up.
Why he has assumed I'm responsible for this I have absolutely no idea, but he has now taken it further. I emailed TPS today and told them what's been going on, how he has been posting quite abusive messages on my comments. They replied and are satisfied with my explanation, where it goes from here I don't know, but this drama is starting to overwhelm me and kill my motivation.
I guess, I'm writing this to let you guys be aware that there are some malicious people out there. They are quite prepared to cause you grief and miseryfor absolutely no reason. My site has absolutely nothing to do with PPI Insurance and it never will.

I think you should get legal advice.
You could take the emails, details of your IP address, website details etc to a legal advice centre for a free consultation and see what they think.
You can find many solicitor firms online who will provide initial advice for free. I know this sounds crazy but Sheffield Hallam University have a Law Clinic which is run by students but watched over by tutors who are qualified solicitors and barristers.

You could also go to the citizens advice bureau who may be able to advice what to do. Plus there is also the police.
I hope you will consider some of these options as they just may help to stop this idiot from causing you any more problems.

Then you cannot be accused of spamming. If you can find out his ISP report him for abuse and spamming you.
He's accused me of passing on his details to a PPI company. Which is most bizarre seeing as I have no way of collecting them.
& binned all the comments, as I thought they were just spam. I do have one email from him though, but unable to his isp as he uses a gmail
You computer stores all the information from everything you do on the internet. Tech guys can retrieve this information if need be. Nothing is ever truly deleted from your system.
Then if need be, Wa may have them back up, as it was on my site where he posted most of his stuff.

I have the email from him still, he has my home address etc. I've sent another email to TPS, I'll just leave it till tomorrow, I'm feeling quite unwell tonight.
That's another great idea. Turn the tables on him and show you are not intimidated by him even though we know it is not a pleasant experience for you.

You obviously needed the rest and I know you have other commitments but just rest and take care of your health. That is more important than anything else.
Keep yourself hydrated and don't try to do much today. I know what it is like to have horrendous migraine headaches as I suffer from them myself.
HI there. I live in the UK. PPI Insurance companies are a right pain in the ass over here. They get your name and details from all over the place - lots of companies sell on details. And then they phone you up constantly. The TPS is supposed to stop them but actually don;t havee any power over overseas-based companies, and have little power to act over UK companies when it comes down to it.
But.....Any of the companies he has dealt with in the last few years could have sold on his details. They're all at it...insurance companies, retailers, banks. It sounds like he has added two and two and made five...ie he thought you were responsible for spam and now he's blaming you for this too.
I'm not sure if I have been any help but thought it might be of assistance to give you an idea how prevelant these companies are. I never give out my number to any company, I always refuse or give a fake one. But I still get two calls a day from PPI companies. It drives me mad.
Yes, I'm in the UK too and get my fair share of calls from these companies. But I don't understand why or how he came to the conclusion that I somehow got hold of his phone number and passed it on.
He's been a thorn in my side for months, constantly leaving snide comments on my site.
You are right there I live in the UK and am really fed up of PPI and accident claims company's ringing me. The last one I got they told me I had a car accident recently and may be due compo. My answer was " Really would that be the one where I was convicted of causing death by reckless driving and have just spent ^ months in jail for." HaHaHa they hung up.
I would be upset as well. But, Do not let people who have no life, kill the life your trying to build for yourself.
They assume because you have a website that you must therefore be probably rich. Many people in my area think it is only companies and businesses that has website and it is for rich people.
They do not understand it is for everyone. Maybe this guy is same way.
Jealousy is a hard thing.To carry such a thing to extremes is usually only done to either get money or a benefit.
Regardless of his motive, Do not let him win. Do not let him be the source of you giving up. Then he will feel an enormous amount of satisfaction. Is that what you want?
Usually I walk away from the computer and pick the guitar up to escape the world. This time I was feeling to unwell to think straight and i let it get the better of me.

Be of good cheer. The rain always washes away all the dust and debri. After the rains things flourish. The clouds after the rains have silver linings from the sun finally coming out. The world wide web has become a jungle. People without a conscience and without values will post long unrelated comments on your site. It is not you. They do it to everyone. Please see through this.
