Does anyone have any tips on creating affiliate links more effciently for my website's shop? I have already created more than 40+ links for my products in the shop but I know t

Hey Johnell, like others have responded, it's a lot easier to create content that sends your readers to the merchant, and then let them manage their online store rather than duplicating what they've already done. But if you'd like to pm me a link to your site I can have a look. I might be misinterpreting your question.

So making the shop was a mistake? And I should probably take it down? That really sucks to hear..

Do you actually have an ecommerce store with physical or drop shipping items - if so, it is better have a niche blog writing informational and reviews posts to drive traffic to your store.

Then yes, I would do it that way.

However compiling affiliate links in one site is not great, it is salesy and not providing value for your clientele to make them do an informed decision whether to click your links and go purchase the solution you provided to their issue.

if you add a load of useful content you can still use the links from the shop - but transfer them into the content rather than adding another layer of clicking for your visitor - make it as easy for them as possible....

you can do ecomm and get visitors to your site but you need to plan and find the audience first...
then ask them what they want - or observe and find out
then setup the shop and tell them about it and why they should buy through your shop....
but the easier way is to pick a niche - find out what they really want to know and write about that....

If you're creating a "shop" you would generally important the products, not add them manually.

But why are you creating a "shop" on your own website? Why aren't you just referring your visitors to the store that's selling the products?

You seem like you're maybe going against the training here?

I feel like it'd be easier if you were to see my website and what I'm talking about. Could you take a look real quick? I have it up on site feedback

Hi - how do you plan on attracting visitors to your shop? Simply adding thousands of products with no written content will make your site yet another shop among the millions already out there and it will be ignored by Google.

By faster, what exactly do you mean. Typically the "store" approach doesn't work all that well for affiliate links in terms of conversions, you want to have specific promotions, to specific audiences.

Leave the "store" to the actual merchants that you are driving your traffic to like Amazon. Get people over there through highly relevant promotions and it will maximize your conversions.

I'm in the back office of my website on wordpress, I see the option "Set up your homepage" and when I click on it it sends me to a page saying in the top left corner "Bad Reque

have you created a page called home - if not it maybe lookiing for it
click on pages in the left menu and add new
title the page home and save
then try again where you are clicking
if you want a static home pgae then clcik on settings and then reading
click on set home page and choose home page
ideally you need to create a page for your blog roll - so create a new page and title it blog or similar
and in settings - reading - blog page - choose that page
and save the settings
you can style your home page with whatever you want not - it can be your mission statement - a landing page to get eople to sign up - a tempter to show your services - what you can d ofor others....
good luck
phil

However you may like submit a ticket to site support have them check site for you.

My response is not a direct answer to your question. But installing a theme or plugin for breadcrumbs make it easy to see the path to get to a specific page.

could you elaborate what you mean by bread crumbs?

A breadcumb is clickable text located usually above the page title and tells the path of user where they are on the website. some WP themes automatically include it and others don't. If your theme includes it you will notice it when you do ->customization in the WP dashboard left hand column There are also plugins for it.

I reread your initial question, you may be trying to do is create a menu.

Hi Johnell, just following up to see how you're making out with this one. Abie provided some great resources, hopefully they are what you were looking for :-)
