Quick Strategy to Maximize the 7 Day Starter Trial for Beginners
A person signing up for Wealthy Affiliate needs to have enough free time over the next 7 days to do a number of very important steps to help make an intelligent decision to determine if internet marketing is for them! If that person is a true beginner the training can be overwhelming BUT if you have the desire to succeed know that the tools and the support is here. Unlike about any other training you don’t have to spend a dime to take a spin but I would highly recommend a plan. Here’s how I did it…
My background is restaurant management so while I have used computers in the past I have limited Microsoft Office use with most of my experience having been with Excel and spreadsheets. I have no expertise in creating web pages and my idea of making money on the internet is locating a program that will give me the winning powerball number.
I found myself “in between jobs” for just the second time in my 58 years so I’m good on the free time requirement and without income I really liked the free training!!! My plan was to go through the lessons 24/7 and rinse and repeat until I got “It”. Amazingly, after much trial and error, I put together all the requirements and have something to show for it. Sure, my web page is bland and draws yawns from both people who stumbled upon it but it is so much more than I expected after just 5½ days!!!
There is still so much I don’t have a grasp on but at least one of the members here has probably had similar confusion and if I can make a connection with them I will make it good for both of us. I ran into problems with (to name a few): Wordpress, theme adjusting, web page organizing, SEO training, Jaaxy, Google Analytics, etc.
Here comes my nugget…On the main screen plug in the problem words in the question bar next to the WA logo (top center). Out will pop training results, discussions and blogs. If you don’t see anything that looks like help then reword it. Some answers are off limits if the content is from Premium Classroom training (yet another reason to upgrade!!!) but a lot of it is from blogs. Read the blog and if you like the answer check out the authors profile. You hope you don’t forget the info then save it. How, you ask???

Great words. I like to follow people for different reasons but certainly those that have experience are worth getting to know. By following them you will get an email notification (if you have that set up) that they have posted something new. You can then read it and engage with them. You've raised some good points here for all of us, thanks.
Just started with WA yesterday. So very much appreciate your post. Though I know the concept and power of websites and rankings, I have a lot to learn to do it myself. I will take your advice and power thru the training.
The older you get the harder it is to get another job. At 85, I know what I am talking about.
I believe in building resiliency into our lives. The only way to do that is to have multiple streams of income so you do not have to depend on a job.
Find a niche where you can help people.
Build your website around that niche. The money will come as people learn you can help them.
