Have you seen the post by Loes: And Mary's about Google Analytics and agreeing to changes in GA to comply with GDPR I have heard that WordPress will be including a Draft GDPR Privacy Policy document with its next update. I see people have added new plugins for that, but I am waiting for the next WP update and will amend my policy accordingly. ~Jude

Thanks for the info. I searched WA after posting and saw those two posts.

I guess I'll wait for the WP update because I don't like having to add more plugins to my site.

You don't need a plugin to accept GA terms. I recomend following Mary's tutorial and get that one out of the way. That is the main tracking tool for most of us and if Big G complies, our sites will too.

The WP update including the Draft Policy will be rolled out on
17 May,. If you decide to use it, keep in mind that the slug will be
privacy-policy.

If you currently use that slug, probably delete your original one, even from Trash, (but keep a copy on your computer in case you want to revert to it) otherwise you will end up a number 2 at the end of the slug.

We will be able to edit the policy. I intend to keep the GDPR parts that are relevant to my site and indrty into the new WP Default document sections of my existing Privacy Policy that I want to keep on my site as is. ~Jude

Thanks for the info Jude. Really appreciate it. I'll just edit the slug for the old one and put it in draft.

Does anyone use the Exclude Pages from Navigation plugin?

This plugin is preinstalled when you set up a new SiteRubix site and it's purpose is to exclude a page from your

I use it for landing and CTA pages so it wont show up in my index

It is useful for people who do Hidden Page PPC advertising.

Kyle teaches it in Course 6, lesson 8. ~Jude

See Screenshot

Good to know. Maybe that's why its still in there

Yes. I've added a Screenshot. :-)

There are other reasons to exclude pages from the search engines. It is not always enough to just not include it in the menu because the search engines will still index it. For example, you might want to exclude a private download page, or a thank-you confirmation message on your site when someone subscribers to your list. ~Jude

Thanks for the clarification.

Great discussion. This is why I decided to asked the question.

I get what's being said in the lesson and why the plugin is used but can't you still hide pages by not including them in any menus you create? And if you want to hide a page from search engines, I don't think this plugin is going to help, is it?

To hide pages from search engines, you would check the noindex option in the All in One SEO settings for that page.

Still no need for the exclude pages plugin in my opinion. What am I missing?

Maybe put the question to Kyle for his upcoming Wabinar...lol.

~Jude

Your right I don't see any use for it, but is doing any harm?

No harm, except it's just better for them to stop installing it only for it to be deleted by the end user. Or some people might not delete it, it just adds to the amount of plugins you have installed which can affect Site Health.

good point

Jay, see my replies above.

Jay you can delete this plugin.
It is there as a convenience for new people.

I know that but my point was that it doesn't need to be pre-installed anymore. Wordpress does this with menus and that should be taught in the training if it isn't already.

Someone just contacted me from India. As you know there are some countries that are not able to join WA as starter members. They can only join as Premium members and India is o

The black Friday offers are far much better for a new member but if they can't then $19 can always do.

If they are able to grab the Black Friday deal it would be a great advantage for them...

Yes. I did mention that to him.

But if they take advantage of the Black Friday Deal they will pay less. Will they not. I would tell them to try that offer first.

Yes they will and i suggested that but you have to remember that this person has not had a chance to see what's inside WA like starter members do he doesn't even know if he wants to be here for an entire year.

However if they pay $49 and want to take the BF deal, they will only have to pay the difference.

No They can't they can only join for $49, I am sure because I wanted to refer a friend from Morocco and he sent me a screenshot showing that he can only join if he pays $49 or the yearly fee.

OK. Thanks for the confirmation.

Hello Jay,

I joined WA at Premium cost $19 first month and $49 afterwards, that's also what I understood. But to save some money, I signed off for a yearly membership of of $349?. Oh, I'm not sure of the amount I paid already but it's almost $350.

Maybe Kyle or Carson, can address to this one!

Thanks

Have you tried going for the $299 Black Friday deal? With that deal it works out to be about $24.91 monthly.

I was asking this question because there are some countries that can't join WA as free starter members. They have to join directly premium. As Ankit said below, they don't get the $19 first month deal which is the answer I was looking for.

Thanks for responding.

I'm from India n I have had to join wealthy affiliate from $47 I wish I could join it at $19, so no other chance except yearly or monthly.

Ah. Thanks Ankit. That's the answer that I'm looking for. Sorry you couldn't join at $19. I guess they have their reasons.

Nice blog. I have learned from this discussion. I will also remember iIncognito mode.

I know I had a webiste ranking on google for all three pages yesterday and now it's nowhere to be found now. I've found it on bing and yahoo, just hoping Google will make up it's mind. Would be nice to see some organic traffic here soon.

Welcome to the Google shuffle, this happens. It will come and go, in particular with a newer site that is not all that established just yet.

It was a brand new site. Its beginning to rank for other keywords way back in the results so I have hope still. I still have a lot of content to add to it.

I always do my keyword and market research in incognito mode...this tends to give much better results. Google doesn't know what I want based on my search history (when I am logged in) because I am always doing keyword research, so like you I find it all very frustrating.

Words from the wise. :)

hey kyle whats incognito mode?

In the top right corner of your Chrome browser there are 3 black lines. Click on it and you'll find the ingocnito window.

@Scott363 Incognito mode allows you to search Google so that it doesn't know that it is you. Because even if you were to log out of Google would still know it is you because of your cookies associated with your ISP. Follow the instructions by Blessings44 to find Incognito mode on Google Chrome. If you are using Firefox the feature is called Private Browsing. I don't think Internet Explorer has a similar feature but personally I do not care because IE is an inferior browser compared to Google Chrome and Firefox. :)

got it guys thanks

Jay, are you using Google Chrome and if so are you doing your keyword search in Incognito mode?

Have to agree with you, Robert. I think sometimes it's the only way to deal with anything that we can't solve!

I always hide private results in Firefox. Works the same as incognito mode when doing keyword research.

Then I would have to agree with what Lydia said that Paul Dean had said.

It sometimes annoys me that when you type in a keyword, that Google will show all instances of content that has that keyword somewhere within it. Obviously the only way to get the same results as you would get from let's say the WA keyword tool would be to do the keyword search with " " on the keyword, but hardly anyone searches for things like that on the search engines.

I have noticed the same thing. Also, some websites in a 3 or 4 position were last updated over a year ago. I thought if you don't keep adding content, that eventually you'll get de-indexed.

There's been major issues with G of late. Looks like there are no real explanations, and like Paul Dean said, we'll just have to wait for Google to get over itself.

Lydia.

Paul Dean makes me laugh sometimes at his straight forward remarks. LOL

You won't get de-indexed if it's good content. Google is in bad shape though.

I just tried my Black Friday affiliate link and I was wondering, what if someone declines the offer. Can they join WA while the offer is running?

I ask because I don't see

Yes---Poetman is right --This is just for those that want to save by the year and all other offer we have out there is on but if they want to go by year they get this one now ---Great bonus to !!!

I think the Black Friday is in *addition* to your regular marketing. I am pretty sure you wouldn't be blocked from other advertising, especially on this big weekend of whipping out the wallet :) I haven't decided how or what to do yet.

Here's another Black Friday (now today-wow!) question though: Are we only to market it to *referred* people OR can we also include the Invites? And would the $299 remain that wait here on in, or just for this next year?
