Really now!?

I thought these gurus realized by now that people were getting smarter and catching on to their foolish tactics. I guess this is a case of "a sucker being born every minute".

See whenever I decide to review a product, I would usually sign up to the email list to see what the owner is up to.

Tonight, I get an email from this guru with the subject line "I'm going to personally build your business for you (at no charge)"

It's amazing what these gurus will say just to get a sale (the irony).

I bet this guy would sell his mother to human traffickers.

He then proceeds to tell about the steps you need to take. It's only 3 steps.

1. Create account
2. Insert code
3. Insert Clicksure ID <-- red flag again

And then he ends it off with...

"And enjoy the 5 figure business!"

The sad thing is that people really want it this way and some actually believe what the gurus tell them. I guess this is why it continues to be perpetuated.

No one is going to personally build a 5 figure business for YOU. Not even if they charge you. Do you see that happening in the offline world?

Luckily at Wealthy Affiliate, if you've been here for more than 5 minutes, you'll quickly realize that there's something different going on here.

No lies, no fantasy stories, no empty promises.

Get some Wealthy Affiliate Referrals

The name of the product is called Commission Buddy and the fool behind it is Alan Magliocca.

He's giving away ***free*** websites but they're not really free since you have to pay at least $115 for 6 months of hosting (the catch).

I absolutely hate these kinds of programs. I call it "the free site scam".

Easy way to get some Wealthy Affiliate referrals is to review this product and link to Site Rubix which is just about the ONLY real way to give away truly free websites and be on your way to building a 5 figure business for yourself.

Yep- another complete ba....d! I don't know how some of these people have the gall - but they clearly do!

The problem is that economies all over the globe go into the toilet and people end up out of work and desperate. These scandals promote stuff that is too good to be true. There are new people on the internet every day, Could you imagine how much money you could make if you could corner the market on "make money online" The key is dont try and sell anything. If you focus on education people will see the value in your words and they will be asking you to sign up for WA this is a very good blog post Kudos

Thank you Jay for posting this. Another reason to make more review to Siterubix :)

You make a good point. In the two years I have been here at WA this scamming (obviously outside of WA), has increased dramatically, and still people go for it. I just think it is a human nature trait, something for nothing always attracts without thinking or questioning - is this real? A milliseconds thought would return a conclusion of no way is it real,
Hudson

The sad part is, Jay, that people still sign up for these scams, desperate to make $1,000s per day/week/month...sitting on their butts while someone does it all for them.
:) george

Yep. It hasn't worked ever and never will.

I had this one guy email me (because he couldn't find a contact form for the scammers), and he pleaded for a miracle because he had overdrawn his checking account with the expectation that it would be covered by the time he woke up the next day. I feel so sorry for these people sometimes.

Just like there are robbers and thieves who sleep well at night in the real world, there are robbers and thieves on the internet as well. It angers me because that's why we are now required to have all these disclosures and increased scrutiny from the FTC and the government.

Thanks for your post. It just shows one more reason why Wealthy Affiliate is all class. :)

Yes. Kyle and Carson is delivering exactly what the industry needs.

I got this one. Almost tempted to name the program!

Don't hold back. I named it toward the end of the article. The idiot deserves to be exposed.

I signed up and in the email he says if you can't afford the $125 for hosting just call quicken loans and they will give you the money. What an idiot

Most idiotic thing I've seen all year. SMFH.

Thanks so much for posting this Jay you have just gave me another way to promote these siterubix websites which really are FREE with no catch. I don't know who these people think they are but it seems like they must think people are stupid. Not only could you use this product to promote WA by giving away these siterubix websites you could also approach it from the hosting here at WA.

You're right. Lots of angles. Just gotta be creative.

I'm still in awe of how honest and sincere Kyle and Carson are. What they do for the WA community is phenomenal! I for one, am happy that they can make a great income helping us help ourselves :-)

And amazingly they still have a lot of critics. The real testimony is in the fact that while all these fly-by-night programs eventually die out, Wealthy Affiliate keeps growing (8 years?) and getting better and better. WA was around before I got on the internet and it's still going. Not many of these guys can claim that.

It always amazes me people fall for these (I did too, once:). It's important we let others know about WA. Too many think they will go to bed poor and wake up Rich. Thanks for posting this.

I have to confess that I fell for the "free site scam" too. But that was a long time ago.
