How do we delete website on the Free subdomain in siterubix?

Featured Comment

You can delete a website from within your Site Manager.

https://my.wealthyaffiliate.com/websites

If you go to the Details (button), click that it will take you to your details page for that given site. If you scroll down to the bottom of that page, you will see a Delete This Website button. Click that.

Do know that if you delete a website, you will not be able to recover it at a later times as it is completely deleted from our hosting platform.

Thank You. Kyle.

Click on Details button, scroll to the bottom of the next page, click the Delete button. Poof! Gone.

Hope this helps you.

I have website (not hosted with WA) the site is https:// but it gave warning as not secure, hacker may steal info. It said my certificate expired but whenever I log into the Cp

Yeah - I would transfer to WA so there would be no worries.

Transfer the domain to WA for them to host so you have SSL. Go into the admin panel at your hosting company and change your DNS settings to ns1.mywahosting.com and ns2.mywahosting.com. It could take them 48 hours to complete this. Then on the WA hosting side you'll have to go into Site Domains and add the domain. Once it's added, go into Site Manager and add the SSL. Hope this helps.

Alan is correct this would be an issue that your hosting provided would need to assist you with. However, there is a very small chance that the date on your computer is incorrect (but this is a very very small possibility).

I would move to WA domains if possible :-)

I hope you get a reply soon I experienced the same with a domain that has recently been renewed with Go daddy that I tried to bring into WA I'm required to re-register a site for a year when its just been renewed!!!! All the best SK
Cheers
Sue

Hi Sue,
Yes you register domains for a year at a time, so you'll need to keep it with Go Daddy until your renewal. You can still move the domain to WA for them to host so you have SSL. Go into the admin panel at Go Daddy and change your DNS settings to ns1.mywahosting.com and ns2.mywahosting.com. It could take Go Daddy 48 hours to complete this. Then on the WA hosting side you'll have to go into Site Domains and add the domain. Once it's added, go into Site Manager and add the SSL. Hope this helps.

Wish I could help but the SSL certificate thing is still rocket science to me at present :) I'm sure some resourceful member of the community will come up with good advice or suggestions.

Any one has experience on FTP using Filezella, I am not able to establish the connection with my host.

Appreciate you input.

This video should help

Thanks Marion.

Hi, I had some problems myself and after have been trying different approaches, I contacted the support via a ticket, and they fixed the error.

What does it say in the console when you try to connect?

I got it sorted out after going back to all my email, login into the cpanel and get my original login user ID when I registered the hosting.:(
Site not with WA.

Hi, Jaunesk! I’m very sorry to hear this about Laurie-Ann :(. I have also been searching recently for answers to similar questions:

1.) A premium member cannot be downgraded to starter.

2.) Once a premium cancels his membership, he has 30 days to move his site to a new host.

3.) As a free member he cannot host his own domain sites here at Wealthy Affiliate.

Thanks. Henry, I think your answer 1 should read as A premium member CANNOT be downgraded to starter, if he/she has sites hosted in WA.

My view is even if it is 25 Free Own Domain hosting, it is wise not to keep your all your egg in one basket.

I check my old domain name, the domain registrar that i registered with had gone, I mean no longer exist.

Yes, thank you! You are right!

I believe the 30 days that WA gives to each member to change hosting are a good deal in case you need to cancel for a few months.

Agreed

I lost both my websites when I had to cancel my WA for 2 months. Once I came back I can't get my sites back without paying the 15.00 for each one again :(

Thank you very much. And sorry to hear the reinstatement charge.

This will help in overall marketing strategies, not to put all the eggs in one basket.

SK

yes I kept my first blog on its original hosting company. So that is the only one I have now

I really don't understand what the problem is Laurie-ann. Your domain name registration is completely separate to your website's hosting. If you've paid for domain name registration then you don't have to pay again until the next annual renewal.

Contact Site Support and ask them to restore your websites.

Hi, Marion, Laurie is referring to her hosting with WA. If you are not a Premium member, no Free Hosting. Since she stopped the payment, the hosting stop, the $15 per website is to restore the website up to hosting again. If I am not wrong.

This is exactly my question asked.

I've never heard of a charge for restoring websites on WA's hosting and I've been here for over three years. I think perhaps Laurie is mistaken. Check with Kyle or Carson or Site Support to be sure.

Better check.

@Jaunesk is correct. This is all I will get when I try to sign back into either one of my sites until I pay the hosting fee again. My sites show they don't renew until 2018 but I have to pay all over again for the hosting (which I only had for a few months with WA)

Contact Site Support and ask them to restore your websites. As you have rejoined as a premium member you are entitled to hosting as part of your membership package.

If they are trying to get you to pay a fee please show me the invoice or whatever you've received which asks for $15 per website. I've never heard of this before.

Asking a dumb question here, can we link our own website hosted in WA when writing our personal blog? I saw a few members show their websites in their blog post. Just want to b

No question is a dumb question at all!! Yes, you can link your blogs on your profile here in WA by going to your profile and adding it to the follow me section on the bottom right hand side of your profile! I hope this helps! :)

Thanks Terry .I think Ken and Richard answer my question.

I'm glad! You can add them to your follow me section in your profile, just not in posts as it's considered spam! :)

That's why I am asking as I saw quite a few post with own site link. Thought can do it but just to be sure so asked.

No problem! :) It's smart to ask, and like I said no question is a dumb one!! :)

The only time you can share your own website in
your blog on WA is to share your progress here at WA.
You can not promote your website on your blog in WA

Thanks ken

My pleasure Jaunesk, always here to help guide.

It's frowned upon as 'self-promotion', unless it's a question that can only be answered by viewing your site, and adding it at the end of a post breaks Rule #16, but yes many members do it anyway. ;)

So Richard, it's a landmine. Btw where can I find all the rules?

Just click the link I provided above. :)

Thanks
Hi @rich look like many rules has been broken reading through it and reading many members questions and blog post. ;)

No probs. you're most welcome! :)
