Trying to get back into things after an awful week

I've had a real tough week, pretty crazy actually. I am now trying to push myself to get back working on my site.

Firstly the weather here was crazy here between snow and gale force winds. This created a whole heap of problems between being stranded at a friends house one night and power outages.

Worst of all my little boy had a terrible accident Wednesday evening . He pulled a cup of hot tea of the counter which went all over his face and body. He had only learned to go on his tippy toes that day to reach stuff there. My wife and I feel awful guilty.

We ended up having to rush him to hospital, where we stayed with him the whole night and then had to bring him to see specialists in a hospital 2 hours away in Dublin. Thankfully he is fine, he has nasty wounds which the docs have said will hopefully heal without scarring, so we are praying this is true.

All in all I had only 2 hrs sleep for those few days and only getting revived now. So here goes, I will be trying to get a massive push to get some work done on my site. I feel the longer you leave things the harder it is to start again.

My parents told me I did the same with a cup of coffee when I was a toddler but have no scares from it. I am sure he will be fine.

Try to push the feeling of guilt away, it won't do you any good, and these things happens to all parents all the time. You just can't be there every second of every day.

The weather we can't do anything about, we just have to do the best of it and wait for the summer.

Happy to see you back and make sure to get some rest, that is importent too

Jason, Tuff week for sure!! Glad you survived and are moving forward. Best to you!!

Hi Jason!
... don't blame yourself - every good parent wishes they could have done some things better, that's just the way it goes.
ALL us parents make mistakes! ... all of us.

Your family are in my thoughts for a quick healing and recovery.

... reminds me of the time I dropped my son when trying to catch my daughter from falling - yikes! (I know how you feel!)
... they both turned out beautifully.

awww bless Jason. I understand the feelings of guilt but really try not to focus on it. Just do your best to prevent future mishaps.
Kids are always curious and trying out what they can do.
I am glad he is fine. You are all in my thoughts and prayers. :)

What a tough week u got there, hope now everything will be fine...Alots of patience u need to , god bless u and ur family and I will pray for u !!

Hey Jason, what a chaos week.Pls keep us informed on your boy's recovery and take a rest for a while

Hi Jason, so sorry for your little lads accident, and hope all will clear up, which I'm sure it will. you need eye's all over when their that age, and God bless they heal quickly. I went through all that when my 3 were little, they still have bumps and scrapes now 20 years later, LOL. I hope this week shows you a bit more compassion, and try sleeping, some say it's good for you, it could catch on LOL, Take care, Allen.

What a week. I understand that feeling of guilt - but no one is to blame. I hope it will heal without any scarring. Put some gloves on his sweaters so he wont scratch the skin when it heals.

Love this post, It goes to show that its not only yourself that goes through tough times.
Everyone has to endure tough times all on their on basis with different stories.

I myself am going through a hard time but your post motivates me to carry on.

All the best with your site.

Get some sleep first Jason
