What My Number 1 Page Rank Really Looks Like

Most people like seeing the success of others and some may think that success comes easy, but the truth is quite the opposite (at least in my case).

Today I want to take you behind the scene of one of my page 1 ranking article.

One thing you must know is that it took a lot of time and revision. It did not happen overnight nor in a day or week.

It is also important to note that once you arrive at page 1, you are not destined to stay there forever.

You have to keep on watching over it like a newborn baby or a precious growing plant. You have to keep giving it the "food and water" it needs to survive.

If you notice from the screenshot, this particular post had to endure 167 revisions. I had to keep revising to make it the best that it could possibly be.

It was not a matter of writing out great content and following all the SEO rules, I had to do a lot of promoting as well, and as I mentioned a lot of revisions!

Many nights, I found myself up at some uncivilized hour (2 am, 3am) reading, re-reading, testing, testing, putting the right words in the right places, removing what did not work to make sure that my viewers would get the best possible content that I could conjure up.

I did not set it and forget it.

The point that I really want to make is that success is not an event, but rather a long drawn out process. If you stick with it you WILL achieve great success.

All great people that you admire today had to endure great pains and sacrifices to reach the heights in life.

Most times they were ridiculed by close friends and families, but they never gave up on their dreams, and that is why today we know their story and consider them to be greats.

I hope that you now understand what behind the scene of my # 1 page rank looks like.

Is your story similar to mine, or was it easy for you to arrive? I would love to know your story.

Thank you for taking your time to read this.

~Jason

Jason, you have given a great insight into what it takes to create something that is worth putting out there. Very interesting to know that you had to make 167 revisions before you felt it was ready to go.

Did you make those 167 revisions before you published the article or did you publish the article and then make the revisions while it was live?

If you made the revisions after it was live how did this affect your rankings in Google?

Hey, Paul,

Those 167 revisions are a combination of before and after publishing.

My rankings were not affected negatively at all, quite the opposite.

You will find that from time to time you need to take away information or add information based on what is factual and necessary.

That is the beauty of having your own website. You are the master of it!

Nothing at all is set in stone.

My point is to keep tweaking until you get the best of results.

Thanks Jason that makes a lot of sense. I thought that once you publish a post and Google visit it that is it. Did not realise that Google will constantly revisit a page after it's published.

Great article Jason, proving that perfection takes a lot of blood sweat, tears and effort! Even then it is probably not quite right. Never being satisfied with the status quo brings success.

Paul,

Thank you.

Yes, it does take a lot of "blood", "sweat", and "tears" to reach high goals in life.

With perseverance, things always work out tremendously.

Have a burning desire to succeed and you will most certainly arrive.

I hope you are having a productive day so far.

Take care, my friend.

Jason.

Thank you for voicing this perspective...this is meaningful and helpful. Gratefully, Leona

You are welcomed. Glad you found it helpful.

All the best,
Jason.

You will achieve your gaols - how do you eat an elephant - one bite at a time

And an even more well known one: "Rome wasn't built in a day, the workers were busy each day laying blocks"

No it took a lot of hard work and time to get to that status and takes the same hard work and time to stay there but I am willing to put in the work all the best Max

Sounds good David.

Lets keep on implementing until our goals are achieved.

Jason.

Thank you for this it is just what i needed to read. Im am working hard every day with a new site and as yet not much is happening in the way of success. I am really enjoying the journey and know success will be knocking at my door soon. Great inspiration

I truly believe that once you keep working diligently on your website, you are going to be reaping some great benefits.

Glad you liked this.

This is a great comment to take to heart, success takes a lot of hard work.

Success is thought of as an instance, a particular "thing" or event. The trophy you take home, the bonus check, the trip to Hawaii.

In reality that's the outward manifestation of a long trip where you invested a lot of blood, sweat, and tears, where you learned a skill or new information you can apply to a future situation.

That skill or knowledge is really the success. That will be with you long after the trophy is tarnished and your tan has faded.

Congratulations on your well deserved first page rank!!!!!

Fantastic to have your addition to the discussion here Kimberli,

Looking forward to seeing your successes along the way.

Thank you so much.

Best,
Jason.

Thanks for sharing. Good to know the 'behind the scenes' work it takes. I like the analogy of treating your page rank like a new born baby - has to be nurtured to thrive and sustain it's position. Your diligence has paid off. Enjoy your weekend :)

It truly does take time and dedication to reach any goal that you set out for yourself.

We are not perfect beings, still we must thrive to do our best in whatever it is that we do.

Keep improving Maggie, and thank you for your kind comment.

PS: Enjoy your weekend ahead too. :)

Thanks Jason, it just goes to prove that none of us know everything and we are all constantly learning new things and new ways. Have a great weekend :)

That is so true Jude. No matte how old you get, you still have have something new to learn and even a baby could teach it.

Have a great weekend yourself.
