Set ONE goal
"Most people never focus on a plan long enough to see any results".
I also read somewhere that “Twitter followers is not a result unless you’ve found a landlord that takes that as payment".
This really resonated with me as I often find myself distracted and trying to take on too many tasks at once. Some of these tasks may not be helping with growth.
As a WA member, If you are going through either the 'Get Started Here' Certification Courses or the Affiliate Bootcamp, your focus should be quite clear. To finish the training by completing each of the tasks in order.
Believe me, I know how easy it is to get distracted when working online.
But an excellent way to grow your business is to set and focus on one goal. Goals such as:
- Growing your email list (If you don't have an email list yet, I suggest you look into starting one).
- To guest post on different popular blogs
- Making $50,000 in revenue
- To attract 1,000,000 visitors to your site
Whatever the goals is, pick one that you want to accomplish and that will help your grow your business. Next, give yourself one year to accomplish this. (Don't forget Wealthy Affiliate has some awesome discounts and savings coming up for the Yearly Membership :)
Zeroing in on one goal may sound like you are limiting your options, but if you can focus on just one, your chances of accomplishing this one goal increases greatly.
Having trouble coming up with one goal? Well just think of a result for your business that would truly make you ecstatic.
For me, I've had a goal that I didn't think I would be able to accomplish but have - Getting an invite to the WA Las Vegas Conference. (This happened last Sunday).
Last year (still within my first 6 months of joining), there was no chance of this - not even close. This year has been a whole new ball game and my business has grown!
So try setting and focusing one goal. It doesn't have to be a long-term goal, maybe there's something you wish to accomplish within the next month here. Do that! That's perfectly fine :)

I often click on new Premium members that appear at the top of the Activity Dashboard just to see who is experiencing referral success. You can usually find this information in the early posts for new members.
My sampling plan is very random (not statistically significant), but I've seen your name Jason often enough to say to myself Jason has got traction with his WA Affiliate site.
But 300+ referrals ... that is over the top successful. Congratulations Jason. Would you mind sharing what your most successful traffic source is (eg. Content Marketing = SEO, Email Marketing, Video Marketing, etc)?

I would focus on targeting keywords and bringing in some traffic for the time being.

I am a person who likes to set goals and achieve them, but for this I have to be clear what I am doing, or know the business I want to achieve, but when you are in a position that you do not know where you are standing you can not achieve anything because These goals do not exist, they are not established. All my life I have wanted to have my own business, for that you must have at least some money. It happened to me today that the only $ 100 I had on my card to pay a receipt were no longer on my card and now I have to see how I get them. My question is how do I start a business if I do not have the minimum for it?
I'm no expert when it comes to business 'startups', but I do know that the internet allows for us with fewer means to create business' at a more cost friendly expense: It Takes Money To Make Money, the Fallacy. I guess what I am saying is that if you desire of starting a business, doing so using the internet is an affordable option. If you don't have the minimum, an option would be to wait until you are in a better place financially.
Or you may want to see where you may be able to cut back on any spending. Or hold a garage sale, or something similar in order to help afford the things you need to build your business.
What works for me is breaking down the large goal into smaller steps. The end result will be achieving the large goal.
This is something I failed to point out.
You can certainly break your larger goals down. For example, if you wanted to make 20,000 in revenue that year you would be aiming for just under $1700 month by month. This could help with one's outlook.

This is great advice...I often find myself trying to juggle all my goals at one time. It is much better to sit back, relax, and focus...if you focus on one goal at a time, it is less likely you will leave all your goals dangling - one step at a time, remain focused and success is the next logical step.
