Affiliate Marketing in Action!

I've recently shared a post on my website where within the post, I give visitors an example of how affiliate marketing works.

While there are all sorts of campaigns and strategies that one could put together to earn money from a website, I chose this particular example because I felt it would be easy for my audience to comprehend.

I also thought it would be fitting to share an excerpt of the post here:

Affiliate Marketing in Action

"Here is a small example of affiliate marketing in action from one of my websites.

These are the monetary results of a single post/review written about a year ago:

If you total up the conversions or sales, there is about 14 of them.

The total paid comes to about $250.

Now, you would be right in thinking that $250 over the course of a year is nothing to gawk about.

But keep in mind that this is a single 1300 word post that I wrote a year ago. It took me about 4 hours to write.

I have continued earning from it month after month since April of this year.

Aside from writing the single article and getting it ranked on the first page of Google, I haven’t done a single thing to it since hitting publish.

I haven’t created any other articles promoting this particular company as an affiliate or shared it anywhere else really.

Yet this single article continues to send people to the merchant’s website and if they decide to take any action, I earn money as an affiliate.

It’s about as passive as it gets.

Imagine creating 100’s or 1000’s of articles that earn like this.

Not every article will rank high in Google or do as well as the next, but creating articles like the one above has helped me to earn a full-time income from a single website alone.

I hope this small example above helped shed some light on the opportunities that exist within the affiliate marketing world."

It's been a remarkable experience.
