The old saying is true...

Have you experienced this?

As some of you may know my last 12 months have been....interesting

London to Mauritius to London to NZ. To know more about these exploits then feel free to read my prior blogs...I won't bore you with details here...

Now I am seeing great success with my websites

I'm at a stage where I can happily just do my websites and live very comfortably (thank you the mighty WA)

However I was never sure if it would happen so I was looking for back-up income.

Now as I was settling into the affiliate zone and doing a couple of days a week other income sourcing I have been offered not 1 but 2 phenomenal opportunities....both awesome and awesome financial remuneration...but both full-time

So when it rains it pours

Do I take one...I want too...but if I do...can I maintain my WA site progress...

What to do? Thoughts my WA friends would be much appreciated

Hi Jason spoil for choice, what a tough decision. The great thing about your new situation is that you get to make the choice because you want to and not like the majority of us because we have to. Keep us up to date. So pleased for you, because you have been on some journey, to get to where you are now. Best wishe for your continuing success.
Alexander.

Thank you Alexander, I am very grateful for the situation. As you say it's nice to have some positive choices. I will make sure I let you know what I do and no matter what happens I will still be here at the WA!

Hi Jason, sounds awesome, but I have a pretty good feeling that you already know the answer to this one and trust your intuition!

You know WA will be here and your network... so that being said, it narrows your question down a bit.
Let us know what you do...LOL

Blessings,

Linda :)

Hi Linda
I most certainly will keep you all updated. I guess I know what I'm going to do...my intuition seems to be back on track lol....and always keen for new adventures...love to travel and explore...and the new opp offers me all of that...J

That is awesome Jason, go for it!
Stay in touch though with all of us...
Blessings to you,
Linda :)

Howdy Jason, I wish I had those decisions to make !! but if I did I think I would think with my Head and not my Heart. You can still be involved with WA and your online business as it sounds like its doing ok anyway. I'm sure youll work it out.
Regards Mark

Thanks Mark. I agree...think i know the answer...just need to find a good balance

I always think the worst thing you could do is regret NOT doing something. I would take the opportunity, your website will always be there, see how it goes and if it's amazing then great but if it's not then you have your websites. You can never look back and say what if.::

Let us know how you get on

I'm definitely leaning that way. Im a great believer in not regretting...even if it leads to future regret...lol...some decisions haven't been the best...but I will never not be able to not regret them...wow...what a mouthful...definitely don't want to sit back in 2 years time with regrets ...so...here we go...

Great attitude! Let us know!

I certainly will x

Jason I would read my blog as you try and make a decision but keep in mind one WA will be here but greed if not controlled will bring more greed, In other word the more you get the more you want, to me that could be a self-destroying cycle. Read my blog of

Thank you. Great blog

Jason. That one will probably take some intuition on your part. For me, I'd ask what's really going to fulfill, to inspire me. Beyond that, the choice is yours. WA does seem like the kind of place that would always be here for you. :)

Yep ...you got it 100%.
I guess I'm naturally greedy and want both lol

I know what you mean. Keep us updated. I know you will. :)

lol..you know me well. J

You have youth on your side, and many decisions still to make. Sometimes solemn coin tossing or drawing straws can help. Good to see the cornucopia is in evidence. Larry

Cornucopia is definitely in action my friend. I'm grateful.to be in this position...and perhaps am thinking too much rather than just letting the heart rule

Oh dear it's so tricky when this type of thing happens!
The questions I suppose are:
How far away is your Affiliate income vs the income you'd make with one of these opportunities?
How long would it take your affiliate income to potentially reach that of the opportunity?
If you are already living comfortably off your sites, then the question is how 'passive' is it? Is it something you could potentially do part-time?
If the opportunity is something you'd really enjoy doing, then it's worth it, no?
WA will always be here, those opportunities may not.
Another thought: if you are making an income from affiliating, then what about outsourcing some of the site's progress/content etc?
Exciting times! Actually, it's been pouring with rain (literally) in Auckland :)

Omg ...thank you. Awesome questions
I'm at the stage now where each morning I get emails about earnings so I have hit the passive zones
I'm worried if I don't work it everyday it might decline
Last month was my first $10,000 month
The job offers are things I love and also offer awesome money and international travel
Outsourcing is potentially a great idea...especially as I'd be based in Asia
I guess I don't want to miss these opportunities...but also worked too hard to mess up my WA
Have cake and want to eat it too I suppose
Lol
Jx

If it were me. Assuming I really wanted the Opportunity (let's not say the swear word 'job').
There is no reason why, with that kind of income (are we talking USD or NZD?) you can't easily outsource the work. (and I don't mean fiverr stuff, real writers etc)
Then in your spare time you can also work on your sites as well. Seems this way you get a win-win. The sites are taken care of, and you can enjoy the Opportunity.
And the helpfulness of a monthly income goes a long way.
Having cake and eating it is the best way to live! It's my motto!
Keep me posted. What is the Opportunity? x

Lol
It's working for international education company and visiting schools in developing countries to help them improve standards and opportunities for kids...home base in KL.
My affiliate income is USD (mainly Amazon and ebay)
I'm liking your thinking x

In that case, if it were me, I'd definitely take the Opportunity, make sure you've got a good outsource team to do the website work (maybe talk to DomW of Human Proof Designs). That way, when you get tired of the daily grind, your websites are there, earning money and ready for you to retire into :)
And being based in KL seems pretty good! x

Im definitely leaning that way x

How long did it take you to reach $100/month? How long did it take you to reach $500/month?

4 months before I saw a cent
6 months was $7 a week
8 months $1100 a week
Last month $10000

Somewhere around 6 or 7 months it was like a switch was thrown. What happened at that general time to make an unprofitable business website profitable?

Honestly I wish knew. All I do know is I didn't do anything different. But suddenly my traffic exploded and I gained email.members and suddenly people started buying ...all I assume is the ratio of visitors hit such a level.that statistically people will buy something.
Amazon is awesome as people tend to go back to my site and then into Amazon to buy all sorts ...usually things I don't even advertise...maybe they bookmark.me and then go into Amazon rather than going to.Amazon.directly

Here is one thing I know or think I know. Google's search algorithm has a factor that penalizes new sites. Did you notice a significant change in search engine rankings after say 6 months?
So most of your commissions are coming from Amazon? Are you working with any merchants or affiliate networks that are not Amazon?

I am with loads...amazon, cj.com, ebay, shareasale, ratuken, etc..
definitely picked up after 6 months...and continues almost daily now...however most sales come from amazon

What is the web address of your site? People are going to look at you as a model for how to make a website profitable. With respect to cj.com and ratuken I got irritated at the very slow loading websites that seemed to get caught up in perpetual loops. You stuck it out with them. I didn't. I have ShareaSale and Amazon and one merchant which I use as a direct affiliation.

My main site is healthynatured.com. I agree...I hardly use cj.com because of the slow site...just frustrates me. Now that I'm seeing what is working I actually have 90% Amazon and 10% all the others. Amazon is by far the best (for me)

I found that one of your links went to a Youtube video. I have no videos on my website. Do you see Youtube videos as a really big marketing tool that has made a lot of difference or not?

What is your long term goal? I would stick with the affiliate zone. It will pay off better in the long run and you will be free, and your own boss ;)
Just my thoughts.
Christine.

Kinda thinking along the same lines....but then my sensible self says ....guaranteed money monthly....lol x

I know. Real money in the bank you can rely on. The same amount regularly. Very comfortable and reliable. It is hard when you have lost everything and have been so broke.

You have been working on your websites and they are amazing. I love getting your emails about crystals etc. You won't be able to keep up with all the work involved in 4 sites.

I am working full time and am struggling with 3. Things have slipped with 2 of them while I concentrate on bootcamp and building that site.

Whatever you decide will be the right decision for you.

Thanks Christine,
You know the journey. One thing for certain I wont be giving up healthynatured! But I think new job, as it's very exciting plus 1 website...maybe 2...lol
Glad you're enjoying the website...that makes my day
Hope everything is good there with you
J

I am really pleased you are in a better place than a few months ago. Your new job sounds awesome for the skills you have. Anyone would jump at the chance for international travel and helping kids. Looking forward to learning about your adventures.
Cheers. Christine.
