After disabling my AdBlock on my site. I now see adchoice on my site, on my posts. Is this normal? Or do I have a problem here?

Did you place Adsense on your site? Adsense ads vary based on user, so you may be seeing ads relevant to you.

If you didn't put Adsense or other ads on your site, then it could be some kind of adware installed on your browser.

I haven't put Adsense, but I have put Affiliate links and Amazon Links. Could that be the case?

IT's possible. What's a URL where these are showing?

It's showing up on my Homepage and posts. Here's a screenshot

It looks like Adsense. I checked the code.

Did you put Amazon CPM by chance? They sometimes replace Amazon ads with Google ads.

I also see "powered by opinion stage". Is that a plugin? maybe they are inserting Adsense code as part of their plugin? Check to see if that's the case. Maybe they put ads there as a way to make money from people using the plugin for free. I'm just guessing though.

I"ve put a couple of Amazon links, that could be it. And the opinion stage is a plugin and maybe they are putting ads. I'll check with opinion stage if that's the case. Thanks!

Is it possible that I'm not enabled to adding affiliate links because I don't have a premium version of my theme? I've tried adding affiliate links such as iframes and scripts

Can you show us an example?

You may be placing the code wrong, or it could be an issue with one particular product. Sometimes products don't have the proper images to display in Amazon Affiliate ads.

Thanks for the reply. Just the other day, I managed to put an Amazon affiliate link in one of my posts, and it worked! Maybe it had something to do with what you mentioned. Maybe those other Amazon affiliate links had those Amazon affiliate image problems. As noted below, Triblu did mention something about Adblock that could be an issue as well. I'll keep everyone posted if I have any further issues. Thanks, again!

- Jason

Im recently havimg Amazon link issues. Not sure if youre describimg the same thing here. My links domt seem to be getting added but when I look at my posts from my cell phone, they are there. Still havent figured it out yet.

That sounds like what Triblu was mentioning. Do you use Adblock on your browser? That could be the case.

I checked my site from work this morning and it all look ok. Pictures are there.
It appears to be my computer at home. I couldnt find any adblocker. Im going to see if my son can help!

Yikes! Just another challenge to address.

Hey Jason,

The theme you use shouldn't be a factor, however, if you're viewing your newly added Amazon iframes in Firefox ... AND... if you've got AdBlock add-on then that is what your real issue is.

What I've been doing is viewing my pages using Opera so that I can keep AdBlock installed on the browser I tend to use most.

Hope this helps you.

So Adblock could be stopping me from seeing the ad on my pages and posts? That never even occurred to me. I'll check it out, thanks, Triblu, for your help. Have a beautiful day!

You're not alone Jason. It had me going around and around for a spell. AdBlock really does work ... thankfully.

I have Menus and Sub-menus but when I click on my main menu it says the name of the menu and edit, that's it. But when I click on one of the sub-menus it goes right to the post

Laura nails it. Good direction.

This should help yo out Jason. Nathaniell is sharp
Tim

You can either create a drop down menu below a page in your top menu or create a Category tab for your top menu and create a drop down menu for that.

Is this what you're asking?

Try this: Laura

Thank you, Laura. You've been a very big help. Have a nice day!

Most of my posts are going into my blog roll. My Pages are empty. Can we make posts in Pages and stack onto each other? Is that how it's done?

Having empty pages is not a big deal. You can beef up your menu later, and even put posts in a menu if you want. Focus on creating blog posts for content!

Was just about to say go to the training and Katkatskitchen had kindly provided the page :)

You know what they say about great minds Jude

Hey Jason, I think the way the pages and posts work depends on the theme you have chosen from wordpress. My site allows me to have pages that appear in my header bar and then categories that listed in the right hand side bar - this is where I have my posts - some are sticky so they dont move, others arent as Im not bothered about their order. I have a home page that is sticky so the audience always get my greetings page. If you dont like what the theme is doing, trial other themes. Took me a few to get this one ! If you want to look at it go to www.fund-your-dreams.com Have a great day!

It looks like you can rearrange your menus a bit. Have the "About Me", "Contact Me", "Privacy Policy" to the far right.

And your "Home","Starting Your Journey" (You don't need the dots) and "Wealthy Affiliate Review" to the far left.

I remember Kyle mentioning that people read from left to right. So you want the most relevant and important pages on the far left. Thanks for your reply.

Yes, I arrange mine that way, but I do it in the menu section and rearrange how I want them to be. Hope you're getting it sorted out ! :)
