Turn Facebook and Other Social Media into a WA Community

So I just had this idea. I haven't even started it yet, but I just told my wife about it so that means I am serious and about to take action.

If you are already to at least Course 1, Lesson 8, in your training, then you are starting to understand how valuable the WA community really is.

The Power of the Community Within WA

Not only can you get tons of help and questions answered, which is essential when you are new to anything, but to be able to have the community read your pages and posts, make comments, and ultimately help you get google rankings, heck, I would pay $47/mo, just for that!!!

So here is my idea: why can't I create an environment like WA within my own social media spheres as well!!!???

The Beginnings of a Great Idea

So it all started when one of my friends from high school contacted me via private message through Facebook. She has been with a network marketing company for 2 years and she wanted to see if she could share information about the company with me....sounds familiar right?

(Now regardless of how you may feel about network marketing, I ran a successful network marketing business for just over 5 years, 3 1/2 of those years I was full time making close to 6 figures)

Because of my past experiences, I am always willing to hear out one of my friends in any business. So I did, we talked for about 25 minutes and I said I would be glad to give her some plugs just to help out on my own personal page every now and then......now I would like to say I came up with this idea right away, but it was 3 days later that it came to me.

Create a Private Group of Like-Minded Entrepreneurs

I said to myself, I know at least 30+ other people that promote their business through FB as well, just like her. What if I create a Private Group with the sole purpose of getting your business promotions ranked high in "popularity" i.e. likes and comments, so that they come up on the top of all your friends within FB.

For example, let say I have 30 people in the group. I would post within the private group:

"Hey I am about to post this to my 'public' within FB, can everyone look it up and like it and leave a relevant comment please?"

Facebook Statistics: News Feed, Top Stories Wins

By them doing so your post will get "organic" traffic and when your post gets all these likes and comments your post will show up higher ranked on all your FB friends which will of course lead to more people reading your business promotion, which will lead to organic traffic to your website, which will eventually lead to more sales!

In Conclusion

My goal will be to reach out through FB via private message, and share the idea and see if they would be in my group. Well, that is my idea and thoughts that I am about to start implementing.

Let me know what your thoughts are on this idea and if you decided to do it, please give me some feedback here and how it is going for you.

To our success,

Jason Cancino

I'd love to be part of your facebook WA community. I've just set up my facebook page (wanted a separate one from personal family) so please friend me at Cathy Onwa (sound familiar?)

That's a very simple innovative idea with Facebook! I agree with Labman as well. You should use both ideas and use Google Analytics to find out which source is generating more traffic. If you choose to do that, would you mind sharing the results?

It has been tried with varying successes. Facebook has made it difficult to do this sort of thing. Now in google+ this happens often with private communities.
It is certainly worth trying out, but I think you will find that with the changes to Facebook around the first of this year, this sort of thing will not have the penetration that you hope for.

Bummer....well I am still going to give it a try....the other thing I thought is let say I have 30, and I start to build more. Now as the administrator I wouldn't let anyone else in within my same niche. But as I build this private group, it's like I am almost creating another list of people that need what I offer.

Meaning they are usually in a network marketing company or their own small business and are just marketing on FB. They don't usually have their own hosting or website or the know how to really build a business online.

So as I build this group and promote my different posts of valuable content, there will be some who decide to learn more about what I do, and click on my posts or message me privately. Worse case scenario, once I am done contacting my FB small business owners they will know what I do and know that I am there to help them to and not just in it for me.

What are your thoughts Labman? Have you attempted something like this before? If so, how did it go for you? Was it worth it in regards to how much time you put in versus the amount of results you got?

Thx for any feedback! :-)

Yes, that is a good idea and is worth pursuing.
