Why Am I Even Here?
Over the last 5 years I can't even count how many times I;ve asked myself "Why am I here" and to be honest it's been the scariest roller coaster ride I ever voluntarily signed up for. Writing post after post and not seeing immediate results is very frustrating, especially when you're paying a monthly membership fee and not making any money, if I had $5 for every time Idoubted Wealthy Affiliate I wouldn't have to even work my business.
Many times I felt that the success posts people were writing were scripted because it certainly was not happening for me. I never really reached out to the community to ask for help and I felt alone
Roadblock after roadblock I kept trying to do it on my own and never reached out, it wasn't until I had back surgery and was laid up that I realized everything I had at my fingertips. The first person I reached out to was Kyle and Carson and they were right there for me. That was the moment I had my aha moment.
I realized the owners actually cared about my success and I also realized everyone here was willing to help as well.
The Problem Was MeI spent 3 years searching for ways to make money online and lost thousands to online scams. My problem wasn't Wealthy Affiliate it was me. occasionally I'd write a blog on my website and think that would do it I should be good now but nothing would happen.
Finally, I got serious. My first sale came via email while I was sitting in church with my wife. I was turning my volume down before the pastor spoke and got an emails saying congrats you made a commission.
Wow it really works. I worked harder and wrote more and commissions started increasing. Now I was one of those members writing about my success.
Now 5 years later I'm still here.
My point is if you work hard and never give up you will also see this happen.

I sure can relate to your first feelings. I pay monthly and with the currency exchange between Canada and the U.S, that comes to
$73.30 per month x 12 months is $ 879.60. That is a major ouch for me.
You reached out to Kyle and Carson and I feel you got a boost, and now you are reaping the benefits. Congratulations. Imagine being in a Church, when you found out you got your first commission, what a sign.
Glad you stuck around and things are working out for you.
I think I will go to Church next Sunday, (no disrespect meant).

just what an interesting journey this has been. I've been through depression, back surgery, addiction, and health issues including heart and anxiety. All of these things popped I to my head and made me realize how truly blessed I am to have a wonderful community and family behind me. You and everyone here believed in me more than my family and friends which makes you all so dear to me

I lost my wife and 5 year old daughter returning from a Christmas party many years ago. I was in the back as my wife felt I had too much to drink. Went nuts after that, wanted to fight the world. I became the best friend to all the bars, and am a recovering alcoholic. I am an auto technician but suffered a back injury when a car fell off a hoist, still suffer from depression and anxiety. Can't believe I am still alive, hope I find out soon. WA has been a real positive influence in my life. Lot of great people here.
This time of the year is really tough for me. Christmas songs and all.
Listening to stories like yours tells me I am not alone.

Thank you Jason, much appreciated. They keep playing Christmas songs over the stereo and it is still hard to listen to them as beautiful as they are. I am glad I have a lot of music DVD's. I know your prayers will help.

Starting Early with the Christmas songs I think. Usually I hear them after Thanksgiving here in the States.
Here in Canada, they had a few major Santa Claus Parades on Sunday. It is a great time for the kids. Love seeing the joy on their faces and the laughter.
