From small to international
I'm not a total newbe at affiliate marketing. I'v been working with affiliate in Denmark for couple years now. So why did i end up here on WA?
Now I am ready for more
In Denmark there is around 5 mill people. It basically means all niches are small, and since i want to live a nice life only based on Affiliate income, i've come to realise i have to move some of my focus to other countries and other languages.
So now i am standing here with a long list of new problems, that i need to solve.
- What/which markets to target?
- US - I know the language, but the competion is high.
- Germany - I know the basics of the language. The competion i still high, but maybe a little easier than US.
- Spain - I don't know that language. The market is still big, and maybe a little easier than the two mentioned above.
- Other small countries like Finland, Belgium or similar. Don't know the language, but maybe more similar to Denmark, because of the smaller size.
- How to get good content in a market, where you don't know the language well enough to write the content yourself?
- Keyword research. I know long tail keywords are a lot more interesting in big markets. Something I have to get used to, and figure out.
I have to some degree had some succes with a high competitive market, loans, in Denmark. I have therefor set up my website, so that i can get content in the different languages. Now i "just" have to chose where to put my focus. I know the area loans is very competitive, and maybe way to competitve in the bigger markets, even if i target smaller keywords. Right now i am mostly considering targeting Germany and/or Spain, but what would you do?
For every of these questions, I am sure a new one will show up.
So that is why i joined, and I hope i will end up with better choices with your help, than if i just keep deciding everything by myself.

Hi and welcome to Wealthy Affiliate. Good luck choosing your market, I live in New Zealand but aim my website at the American market.
Even though you are not a newbie, I would suggest getting stuck into the training and working through it as quickly as you can. Shout out to the community for help.
