What goals are you trying to achieve and what kind of time frame do you have in mind. I think if you follow the training here it will pay off more as you keep building your site.

What happens often is that people are in such a big hurry to start getting sales they forget to focus on the fundamentals and build something they can sustain.

What value are you giving to the people you add on facebook? What reasons are you giving them to stay subscribed? When you can figure out your reasons for doing things you will know what the best way is to go after them.

Eric

I'm not in a rush. I have an 18 month time frame. I think on one hand that gives me a reasonable amount of time to achieve success while on the other hand it's not too long and it won't drag out. The only thing I'm worried about is doing it right even if it mean doing it slower than some of the other affiliate marketers but that doesn't mean I can't be efficient with my time. I raised this question because most marketers come to you. They don;t wait for you to go to them. I find this an odd tactic to be honest but I will trust the process no less. I think I understand now. You don't want to just sell something to someone on facebook one time then not build a brand out of yourself. You want to build a brand out of yourself so that you can acquire subscribers and fans and recurring customers? Am I on the right thought path here?

Yes, the better you build up a brand, the easier it will be to earn passive income later on. A lot of it will be in your email list because you weed out the ones that are true fans from the ones that aren't. This means you have people that help you develop your content and exchange a mutually beneficial relationship.

There is certainly a time and place where you can advertise and get in front of more customers, but first, you want to have a way to give people 10x value. Meaning that to charge $100 for a product you build, it should be worth $1k or more.

Think about the process where you give give and give some more to help people out. Solving their biggest problems gets you a lot of trusts. When you need something in return they treat you the same way and show that love back. Sometimes it's by buying something you recommend, other times it's by filling out a survey or participating in a poll.

It's why you can go a long way using just one website and becoming a teacher, problem solver, and somebody who listens. One last thing is to watch out for yourself, there is no room in marketing for people who worry about every move they make. The right way to do something will be based on your intuition and not based on a step by step guide that works for somebody else.

Use what you do best and if you don't know what those are yet, you have lot's of time to figure that out. Just remember that practice makes progress and that shortcuts cause more problems.

Eric

Hey Eric thanks for the really insightful answer, honestly I was trying to design my website aimlessly before and I really feel like I have a more clear picture of what I'm supposed to achieve here, and how to do it.

I do have one more question though. What do you mean by "there is no room in marketing for people who are always worried about the next move that they make? Isn't planning your moves and simulating the outcome in your head a key skill in marketing?

Or are you trying to say that I should just write my blog posts from the heart, trust the process and be patient?

I am saying that you actually want to make mistakes rather than stress and worry about being perfect. The sooner you can adopt that kind of mindset the better you will be as far as connecting with your audience. Yes, posting from the heart is a great way to put it.

You will learn more as you go through the training but a big part of finding your own style comes from being persistent and doing things consistently. This includes trial and error which is different than planning. Split testing a few things is your way to see what gets the best responses so remember it's not about getting it right on the first try.

It's about the way you figure things out and become familiar with what works and what doesn't for each audience(niche) that you target.

Eric.

Thanks again man, really appreciate it.
