Hello Everyone,

Since becoming an ambassador, I really enjoy helping out members with Wealthy Affiliate.

But first going start out addressing one of my recent blog posts here on WA of mine "Happitravel. The link to this blog post of mine is below.

https://my.wealthyaffiliate.co...

I subscribed and Unsubscribed maybe hour later. Even replied stop to receiving text messages about this program as do not think this service is legit after reviewing. When you unsubscribe and reply STOP with the text this means the person is supposed to stop communication. Am I correct?

Every day, I still receive emails and text from this user.

Here is the text I received:

Good morning Jannette! This is Michael Ramos from wealthy affiliate I noticed you signed up with travel gig. I'm going to send you a link to our zoom meeting I think you could kill it with wa platform.

Second text: Join the fabulous extremely credible "Loranzo Ladson" for this power packed TravelGig and HappiTravel Zoom Event!!! Lives truly are changing!! Copy, Paste, and Share this with everyone you care about!! Expanded Seating!! Register now!! Claim your seat!!

Now to my questions

When you unsubscribe to emails, this is considered soliciting correct?

When you reply stop by Text to not receive messages, this means you stop correct?

With these two questions, going go research the laws for United States as if I can remember correctly this behavior can lead to punishment.

Next Questions:

Is this type of behavior acceptable business practice that should be associated with Wealthy Affiliate?

Will this be considered self-promoting or harassment within the Wealthy Affiliate program?

My Opinion

If I really wanted to pursue a lawsuit, this would not only put TravelGig, HappiTravel or whatever this company being called but also put WA at risk because this user is referencing WA as well.

I do not think WA members should use any of WA brand name, services, or images to promote their schemes.

Please don't take this blog post out of context, but only based on my studies in business management with degrees and one class being focused on brands no intermixing like this.

Kyle has built his brand up with WA for over 15 years now and a bad apple like this doesn't need to be associated with WA.

Now if this user is reading this blog post, please stop at this point you are harassing me.

Hi Jannette,
you have my support.
It will be resolved as soon as possible, I have no doubt.

Let us know.
Slavka 👋

If it's a company that lied and said they were in the US, then they often ignore these requests.

So, become a pain in their tush!

Join the zoom call. Spend all your time telling people in the chat what a scam they are.

If they have any phone numbers, call them relentlessly. Give their operators a horrible time. Leave messages as long as their system records of some obnoxious TV show.

If they call you, tell them you are happy they called, then put them on mute and speakerphone. It's so funny listening to their CSRs wonder what to do when you never come back. That's how I got off the "Microsoft Technical Support" list.

If they email you, respond by forwarding every other spam email you receive to their email address.

Believe me, they will find a way to make you stop causing them pain by removing you from every list they have.

And yes, in the meantime, do let Kyle know that this is happening. They are great about removing bad apples like this one. Reporting them to authorities is basically useless.

Hang in there!
Jeannine

Fabulous resposnse, should thst ever happen to me, I have ammunition to use. Thanks!

Rudy

If I join zoom meeting, will not be good my husband will only listen to BS for a brief time. I can imagine joining zoom meeting and turning video camera on, they would only see my pets.

Hello Jennette, thanks for that information. I recently considered a travel Companys affiliate program because they had packages for booking Trout fishing trips.

Which were perfect since I am covering trout fishing in several states.

According to BBB, Viator has an A+ rating, but after reading their reviews, I don't see how that is possible.

So, I am going to back away from them. That was a good fit, but I'm sure I can find another, more reputable one.

Reviews sometimes are hard to read because there will always be some negative ones, but when everyone you read is terrible, it is an easy decision.

Chet

Hey Chet, Viator is one of our merchants. Keep these things in mind.

Viator does a couple hundred thousand tours each day, and the VAST majority of people are very satisfied.
The people most likely to review are the people who want to bitch. Satisified customers rarely write reviews. What you are reading is skewed to cause exactly the reaction you are having.

After 24 years in this industry, and literally an insider's knowledge about Viator, I think you are making a huge mistake. It's your site, and you can do what you want. I can just let you know what i personally and professionally know.

Hello Jeannine, I appreciate your advice. It is a good fit for me to have them for my site.

I do realize that there are always people you can't make happy with and usually are the ones that want something for nothing.

I was thinking while reading the reviews, how can they be rated so highly if these things were a fact?

Wells, thanks, Glad I haven't taken them down; I trust you, and I appreciate the information I was seeking.

Thanks, Chet

Glad I could be of service.

I hope you get this sorted out, Jannette! I am following with interest!

Jeff

Yes me too, I took screenshots of the text messages and sent them to Kyle privately.

That was an excellent idea. 👍

Nice job, Jannette!

Jeff

Yes it it self promotion and haraassment. Report this user to Kyle for spamming you and harassment. You can all file a complaint against the company at BBB. Contact your local Florida Attorney General office warning them of this scheming company. You can draft up a cease and desist order banning them from contacting you. There are many other things you can do. Block the email. Put a block from text number on you phone. File a complaint with FTC Federal Trade Commission online. Keep going until they stop. Good idea to contact a lawyer and do more research to get them to stop. Honestly, I don't they they are going to. They need to be told legally to stop.

I have replied to stop & blocked the number, they using a new phone number. I appreciate this, couldn't remember all the different steps you could take for issues like this. Was in the process of looking through my degree work and even pulled back up the college book I still have access to.

Yes, reporting to those governing authorized is the best step. I would start with that. You can also contact news company reporter for scams and harassment if it continues. I would, more publicity the better.

Thank you
