Blogging on WA is not into the drain

Last Update: January 25, 2020

I have always been straight forward and honest to you all. And I never disguised my insecurities.

The reward of that has been so many of you great folks reach out to me, in every possible way. Offering help, Follow advice, friendship and expertise.

I will not give names here. But I feel that I have to thank one person particularly. He reached out, knowing his expert knowledge was exactly what I needed. He offered his time, knowledge, affection and help and for the first time in life, I felt like just accepting it.

I just accepted and went for it. It has given me exactly what I needed and continues to do so.

So why am I telling you?

Because, if you are honest, just yourself, offer what you have and ask for more, it is going to come to you. You do not have to earn it. You just be yourself and people who can profit from your knowledge will find you and people who are further along the way and can help you, will find you as well.

So don't you worry, let it be, let yourself be, and show up for life's appointment. No better time than now! With all your worries, doubts and questions. Show up and be yourself.

Follow the gifts that are given to you,

Acknowledge and enjoy,

Love

Janie

Wow, Janie I just read this post - very fitting for me at the moment, because having started at WA I've begun to blog and I'm realizing the benefits! Glad to connect with you and hope you are well, despite our crazy world at the moment. Best wishes from 'locked-down' Vienna, Eli

O wow, you are locked down in Vienna? I have been trapped in Zurich and just fixed the internet connection today.
How is life in Vienna? Everything closed as well? People worried about jobs and payments? And of course of becoming ill?

What a terrible situation we are in. I have just begun my training to become a flight attendant with SWISS, but now who knows....

Anyway, I am so happy you enjoyed my post. I still believe in every word and it was good to read it again for me as well.

Difficult times, but let's stay human!

Janie,

I’m very happy for you that you have been able to share your issues and get help. My own experience with my mental illnesses (yes more than one), has not been so favourable. I’m not suggesting that you have a mental illness, I don’t know your situation. I do know that I’m plagued with a lot of stigma and in general, misunderstanding. I’m belittled and made fun of because people are ignorant about what is wrong with me. I don’t tell most people and I don’t want to say anymore because of the attached stigma. Although I’m not ready to talk about it, I’m glad that you can discuss your issues. Maybe one day I will feel comfortable too. Thank you so much for sharing.

Always,

Ian

Thank you so much for your generous sharing of experience. This helps us all a lot. We will all be better if we can share and help.
Nothing bad with that!
I wish you all the best and rest assured that if you are not sharing in a demanding or critizising way, help will be offered immedeately.
I have been wrong for so many years about this.
I just had to share it

That's a great way to look at it Janie.

My philosophy is based on my own experiences in life and what I know to be true from personal experience over many years - that is we all have something we can share and we can teach and we all still have much to learn at the same time.

Thanks for your post!

Best regards,

Janie, my dear sister, I'm so glad you've written this, it is exactly the truth. Those who need us will find us and so will those who we need. We shouldn't worry about anything, just work with good intentions, never stop learning and working on our mind and that's enough. No worries, no fear. We are taken care of :)

Well said! I remember how in the past my own insecurities prevented me from being authentic. Not surprisingly I didin't see any results. I've since learned that being yourself (and being comfortable with yourself) is the key to success. There is no point in trying to pretend something your not. You will not feel content and honest and people will pick up on this very easily.

Btw. I read you're a tour guide in Italy? We're planning a 4 month trip to the Mediterranean next fall and Italy is on our list. Would love to hear any recommendations. I've been to Cinque Terre, Lucca and Florence but that's about it. We are looking for something a bit more secluded but need to have at least an internet connection you know ;)

Thank you so much for sharing your experience. It is so much more fulfilling when one is oneself!
For the tour guide, I will be happy to help you out. You can PM me with the things you prefer to visit and to have close (seaside, big cities and culture, vineyards, mountains, trekking, archeology...)
See you in Italy
