1 Month - Google Hesitant With My Newest Site
So as you know from my previous posts, I've started a new site about 1 month ago - which is in the online marketing niche.
In my last update, I wrote about how Google started giving my site impressions - hundreds of search impressions in a day! That was good news... at first.
But this new site got hardly any clicks from all the search impressions, 3 clicks to be exact. That's quite disappointing!
So I looked into it and it turns out that all my search result impressions were in only one single country: India. And only on the search result pages 100+.
So that got me thinking... is it actually real people seeing my posts? Or is it SEO drones checking search results for particular keywords?
I can't be sure but the way I see it, Google was not showing my site to anyone.
And that got me really thinking...
It's a (Mental) Trap!
Even though I've been doing this before already, and even though I've studied all the WA material here extensively - I still had this secret wish for an overnight success...
Crazy! I should know better after all this time!
I don't want to be too hard on myself, it's okay to be hopeful. But still, I found it kind of funny that I still fall for the "overnight success dream" - even though I should know better by now.
After all, this new site is barely 1 month old! What did I expect? That Google is so impressed with my guides, that it's gonna put me on the first page just like that? Of course not!
I don't know what I expected haha!
3 Clicks from Google
Anyways, let's look at the 3 clicks that I've mentioned earlier.
These 3 clicks are great news, in fact. And I think it shows that the site has started down the right path - no surprise, because it follows the WA training to the letter!
These 3 clicks came from only one country, but a different one: US! And another thing, the queries from which I got the 3 clicks have very low impression counts. To be exact, it's between only 1 and 3 impressions per click!
So what does that mean for me? It means that in the rare moments, where a person in the US saw one of my posts, they actually clicked.
After only 1 month, I think that's a great signal, and things are going down the right path!

What Else is New?
So here's the summary for this month:
- I started a YouTube channel! I recorded 4 videos, 3 of them are uploaded. I still need a lot of practice though, I'm not good on the camera.
- 20 posts on my blog.
- 3 additional product pages
