I'm glad you got that sorted, James! The community here is very helpful!

Thanks Jeffrey - they are!

👍👍Glad to hear it!

Hey Jeffrey - I found a youtube channel called the "webmonkey" with plenty of course-study about "Elementor" and it's all good - There a four hour course all about it - very enlightening!

I should check that out, James! Thanks for letting me know!

Yea Jeffrey - there's good stuff on youtube but I always try to stay on the WA platform if I can. Sometimes when I'm working on my website I'll put my question on the platform and keep on keeping on with my website when I could find the answer myself but I don't want to get side tracked!

I get it, James!

Hi! This may help you: Cheers! Let me know if it served your needs!

Thank you - that was very helpful and I got my video working! Thanks again!

I am very happy for you, my friend! O, yes you are welcome!

Is there a reason why you are embedding it in a widget and not directly into your content?

The widget is there and I figured it's the thing to use. Didn't think about it but now I'll try it!

Hey Boomer - is it OK to turn it into a "pretty link" or not! Thank you for the help.

No do not do that. There is no reason for doing that because the YouTube raw link should never be visible, even if you are placing it in your content as a text link.

How are you trying to place it in your website? Within your content as a YouTube video player like I have at the link below?

https://legitimatejobfromhome.com/baseball-affiliate-programs-my-top-4-mlb-favorites

Or as a text link or some other way?

It is exactly like the video on your website but mine is not working - it's possible I'm having some kind of streaming problem that I need to research on my own but if you have any ideas I would appreciate hearing about them. Thank you Boomer!

Are you copying the HTML Embed Code for the video you wish to place in your website content and then pasting it into the HTML section of your WordPress editor? This is how I do it.

Yep - I did that and it worked! Thanks Robert!

My pleasure James.

James, the reality of WA ranking sinks in... guess you got all your answers. Mine is a yo-yo!

Thank you Stanley!

Good answers below, James!

Thank you Jeffrey!

You're welcome, my friend!

Hey James,

You may find Kyle's tutorial very helpful: Hope this helps you.

Thank you!

Hi - yes, that's how it works. Obviously, other members have been more active than you, causing your rank to change. Being active includes asking and answering questions, participating in Live Chat, welcoming new members, offering comments and feedback, writing blogs etc.

Not something to worry about to be honest. There is nothing to be gained by ranking highly at WA.

Thank you - that was an excellent answer!

Rank is like a yo-yo. Mine is constantly going up and down. Yes, it is based on how active you are, but someone can be more active than you, in which case their number will drop.

Sweet answer Mick! You always give me good answers!

I have been using the Eleminator theme to build my website. I have a side menu in there that i want to get rid of! I have tried everything to the point to where I'm worried t

Sorry, No.

Cool! I'm cool with it!

Hi can't you correct or delete it from your site content

It is not in my content. If there is a way to do it - it is in my "back office" settings.

May be somebody will help you ...I hope you get a way to do so back office sound like a problem...goodluck

Hi.I do not know that theme, but as with most you need to go into your theme settings then I think it is the side bar setting and set then to off

Oh thank you and you are right about that! The problem is my theme has that setting and everything! I saw it on one of the videos. Anyhow, with my theme I can check or uncheck that box all I want and it doesn't change a thing! But thank you and yes - you are right! My theme is wrong on that but I want to keep it so if I can't figure it out - I'll just live with it!

Thank you Tillie! I appreciate your concern!

I do not want to sound smart and think you do not know and i have done it many times myself but after you uncheck did you save it after

James, check out:

https://www.inmotionhosting.com/support/edu/wordpress/remove-sidebar-links-completely/

If it is part of the parent theme I think you will need code which I usually obtain by researching. I found the above link searching for “removing sidebar from eleminator theme”

I want to thank you for taking the time to look that up! I figure I could have done that myself - but I was in "work on my website mode" and slid on over to the community to ask about it! You have gone above and beyond what I expected from anyone! Thank you and I will follow you! I'm impressed especially since you're so new! I think you will go far!

Yes, you can have too many links. I think there are some great explanations below.

Thank you for your answer! I will take all of these answers into account whilst I revamp my website! Thanks again!

Yes, you can have too many links and that is not good. 1 link per 500 words seem to be the best practice.

Yes, too many or too much of everything is not good. Rule of thumb! Maybe 2 or 3 links will do for a thousand-word blog.

hey hi James!

Take a look at it from the reader's perspective and you'll have your answer!

On this discussion thread, Stanley and Jack have a couple of varying numeric formulations for you, too!

Suggest if your site is relatively new, build your quality content and engage your intended audience as priorities.

Too many links may be likened to 'spamming!' .... and search engines may not be as polite about it with you ...

keep well, keep happy! ... cheerio ... :)

Recommended a link every 100 words, when you say the same link are you talking about the exact same LINK, IE the same post or affiliate link, if so it is not going to help from he SEO standpoint, perhaps may even be irritating to the viewer, I hope that helps,Jack

I was wondering if it's possible that I could be messing up my Google rating while I build the framework for my website? If so how do I do that?

That was a good question, James and you've received some great answers that we all can learn from! Thanks for asking it, my friend!

Thanks Jeffrey - appreciate you!

you are on the right track! Keep going!

Thank you!

Because Google tracks site activity, may be good to just leave it on. I just follow the training.

That's what I was thinking - thanks Stanley,

if you turn it off if you like then it then the site is not being indexed or ranked so carry on with the training in the order it asks

Thank you.

You're not messing anything up - you're fine.

Thank you that's great news!
