How to build a website for a small business
Building websites for others, commercially.
I was watching a replay of Jay's WAbinar on How to build websites using WordPress this morning. It is something that I have been wanting to do for a while. I have made a few sites for friends and NFP groups I know in the past, but have never charged for them.
I know I have the skills to build a website for a small business if I went about advertising this type of service. It was great to hear Jay's perspective on charging for them, as this has been a sticky point for me previously.
Previously I had been looking at how I can incorporate a WA subscription into a customers site. I have thought of creating a new subscription on behalf of a customer, then once a website is create I can hand it over to them to maintain and continue paying an annual subscription.
This would give me another way of creating a residual commission through WA. Maybe this could be the cost of the website development as well.
Anyway, food for thought - and thanks Jay for stimulating my imagination once again.
Does anyone do this now - and willing to share their thoughts or ideas? I'm all ears !

Perhaps a kind of advice that they can manage this website themselves by learning HOW TO, by registering into WA University. I do not not know how you can incorporate this tough . You will have to weigh charging management fee vis a vis WA affiliate commission. Both are recurring cash to your pocket, however some of your clients will thank you for introducing them to WA, teaching them how to fish rather than offering them a single meal. This I believe will grow your spirit better.

I haven't done this yet. But I am an assistant for a local person who has a blogger blog. She writes posts and takes photos for them and I go to her and get everything uploaded properly. I've got her onto Google + and Pinterest to help promote it. No big deal, but it's a little money.
I think though, you're talking more like contacting local businesses - maybe? And creating a site for them and maintaining it? I don't have time for that, but if I did I would do that.
