I don't know how to fill out the "Getting started" page on my website

Jamco20, gooddogpoky2 and vic62 gave you very good suggestions. Let me know if you were able to get going. We are here to help you. All the best!

jamco20: First you have to understand that the Menu headings on your Website can be whatever you want them to be. So if you don't like the menu item "Getting Started" simply remove it from your website.

Having said that, most people need to remember this. All Menu headings on your website are not for you...they are for those that will open your website and read what is there. So think about it. Why would anyone reading your website want to see a heading entitled, "Getting Started"? Simple. You are asking your readers to do something as a result of the time and effort you put into the website. So if you are asking them to understand what your website is all about, you might also want to include a section on "getting started."

For example, if your blog is about "Female Exercise Clothing-Spandex" In this website you are going to review every item of female exercise clothing made of spandex and show places where ladies can purchase the very best, the very cheapest, or the very most "IN" spandex exercise clothing. OK you have a very good niche to write about.

However, in your "Getting Started Page" you might have a story regarding how Spandex Exercise Clothing ever came about with dates and a chronological history of female exercise clothing leading up to the latest and best stuff call Spandex.

So you would be using your Menu Page entitled "Getting Started" to discuss where your niche has been and where it is going. Etc. Etc. Etc.

I hope this helps you to understand what type of information would go on your "Getting Started" Page in you Blog. DAN

Dan, you are excellent at interpretation! My mentor!

You can get ideas by looking at other members websites. You will find members websites listed under their profiles. Make sure not to copy anything but just look around to get a better understanding of what you should put in your getting started page.

Which part?

Looks like this was already resolved.

Hey everyone I am proud to say my website is up and I have my first review! I am doing Toyota Reviews! Please look and give some feedback if you don't mind! Super Excited!

the comment section worked for me

What are the trim options and what do they look like. No inside pics.
What does the dash look like. Sound system, navigation ,backup camera.
What is the mpg on the v6.
Comments not turned on.
Do a pros and cons section.
I told you i would look.
Nice start.
John

Thank you! I have a lot of learning to do. Was it okay for a first review though?
I am turning comments on now

Yes it was a great start. Just have to give your audience something they cannot get elsewhere, so they come back to your site. Go to the Toyota dealer near you and take a lot of pics you cannot get in the sales books. Explain the pics in detail. Why the customer should have that option or why it does not work. You could do a post on just the interior options. Color and trim.

Hi everyone, I love Toyota's and i want to start writing about them. I have a great knowledge of them and that wouldn't be a problem. I was just wondering how to start writing

Start writing about upgrades, everyday maintenance and how to fix problems.
John

How would I make money with that though?

When you recommend an upgrade, do a review of the item. Write about the benefits of the item. What is its advantages over the stock part. Do a video of the installation. Post video on YouTube with link to website. Embed video in article. Use Affiliate links in the post. When people use the Affiliate links to buy something, you earn cash. Rinse and repeat. Let me know what item you are going to write about first and I can give you more input.
John

Okay I have printed out the Edmund review of the 2016 Toyota Tacoma. I was going to do my first review and base it off the Edmund review.

Send me a link when you are done. I will look at it.
